So I'm currently making a game called The Last One, and I'm with a building group called UND3RGROUND. I need builders and scripters for the game, I will also credit you for the work you've done. If we make a successful game, then you'll be noticed with your maps. Message me if you want to help with building, scripting, etc. But if you have a map that you don't know what to do with send it to me and I'll give you the credit of course. Oh yeah, if you want a background of the game then here it is:
The Last One is a Free For All murder game, (So maps must be like a murder mystery map but a bit more open.) Game Modes include: Classic, Murder Mystery, Last Man Standing, etc.
Also with your message that you want to send to me about the help, send me some ideas on what to include in the game, or create it and send it to me yourself!

I just asked for help. Why didn't I include a reward? Well the reward would be your hard work of course! See, people like you guys don't build/script for fun or other causes. You do it for robux. LOL, I joined roblox in 2009/2010 on my older account. After all these years, I meet new people, some are awesome, some are selfish. Why would you attack me for asking for help on a game? You could've just said, "Is there a reward or something". Ha! People these days!

For many people, there is a thin line between a freeloader and someone that contributes to a project.
If the only things you are doing is giving out ideas, you'd better have a soild wallet to pay your devs. Otherwise leave.
If you build, script, GFX, make sounds or anything valuable into the creation process of the game, a lot more people would be willing to work WITH you, with lot of emphasis on the word WITH.
Basicly, if your dev team can create a game without you, you're expandable. Ideas men have no value on ROBLOX. |

Notice how people like this only hire the trash people and never the best of the best because they're also trash and don't meet our standards.
You can't just ask random people for help, you need to develop relationships too. It won't work too well otherwise.

Well, if they would help we would probably be partners and probably repay them if they did their best. I'm not looking for the best developers. Why did I ask on the forums? Because I want to find developers that are unknown, no one takes them seriously, etc. Why? Because then we could start a small development team for people who are unknown, small, not huge or famous. I just want regular people who spend their time on ROBLOX developing for fun.
I don't know how to become like gerry, nor do you. LOL.

People would be more willing to help if you paid them. Putting someone's username on a map, or on the description would barely give them any notice anyway. It's hard work to script, build, make art, etc... If you offer close to nothing, then no one is going to help. I'm in a development team right now and I'm the writer. I'm making origin stories for different races, character backstory, etc. I'm not going to get paid as much, but I'm still offering something to the team. Freeloaders are looked down upon. Do you have any talent to help at all? |

Yeah, I have great ideas, decent at building, and starting to script. I would pay people but I don't have as much robux to pay people.

So basically you're not a scripter, and not that good at building. Idea people rarely do well in development teams. If you want to offer on that aspect, learn to make maps, blueprints, have an order of things, so people can know what you want. It also has to be possible within their skill level. But as you said, you can't even pay people to help. Would you pay then after the game is made? What if it doesn't get much money? What if the project is never completed? You would just be wasting people's time. Things like this need to be well thought of.
Here's an example that my development team has worked on. https://www.roblox.com/games/99943176/Cinematic-test This was from ideas from the members helping the game out. My point is It'll be hard for just one person to come up with stuff like this, you'll need a talent that can truly help with the team. I've been writing dialogue, origin stories, backstories, etc... You need something like that, or practise scripting and building more before you ask for help. |
