1. the period of time after the Civil War while the southern states that had left the US and formed the CSA were being punished for their rebellion. The actions taken toward the South were opposed both by Lincoln and Johnson, but were forced through by the Republican party in Congress, to treat the South as conquered territory with practically no rights or ability to govern itself until Congress decided otherwise. 2.the 13th amendment expanded the Emancipation Proclamation to illegallize slavery in the entire U.S. It also allowed for the American Anti-Slavery Society to disband, being that their work was finished. 3. The point of the 14th amendment was to say that the rights guaranteed by the US constitution applied equally to everyone, and also it confirmed that the rights guaranteed in the bill of rights applied to state governments too 4.The 15th amendment prohibits each government in the united states to prevent a person from voting bases on the person's color. 5.Without Abraham Lincoln the U.S. was unable to find an appropriate solution for the Reconstruction Era. If Lincoln had survived his plans for reconstruction would’ve created a successful up-rise from the war. He was truly an important figure in History. 6. i dont know lot about Frederick douglass so i cant say anything right now. 7.Harriet tubman was a strong woman who help people escape from the south to the north and always came back for other in need black people.
