When to contact the EAD of Discipline ----------------------------------------------------------- I. DISCIPLINE - WHAT IS IT? -Discipline is a quality that all agents should have. Disciplined agents are mature, respectful, professional, and to the point. Discipline is needed for the FBI to be as elite as we are, and it is needed to keep our reputation as professional, mature agents. ---------------------------------------------------- II. DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS There are four types of disciplinary actions. -Warning: The agent is given a verbal warning. There can be up to 3 before a suspension is needed. -Demotion: The agent is moved a certain level of ranks down, usually one level. These can follow suspensions with proper reason. -Suspension: The agent is given a notice not to work for a certain period of time. However, they can return to work by complying. -Firing: The agent is removed from the FBI, and must re-apply or go to a tryout to get back in. -Blacklist: A person is put on a list of people never to be re-hired into FBI until removed by the proper authority. ------------------------------------------- III. WHEN TO CONTACT THE EAD OF DISCIPLINE -You are arguing with another agent. -You suspect an agent is breaking the guidelines. -You see an agent acting unprofessional or immature. -You see any type of civilian harm performed by another agent. -You accidentally break the guidelines. You may not get in trouble for reporting this. [HICOM ONLY] - You are firing an agent from FBI. -OTHER ITEMS DEEMED APPROPRIATE BY THE DIRECTOR If you report someone breaking the guidelines, you are not a snitch. Don't believe what others say, we will remove them if we catch them. Try to provide proof if possible, or there's not much we can do besides contacting the agent. [END]
