It would have teams making more of an effort to police their own players |

You're right. But it'd be unfair to the rest of the team to get punished for one dude cheating. |

Which would encourage those players to make more of an effort to stop their teammate from cheating if they're suspicious |

i think adults can make their own desicsions.
if a team finds out that the guy is using PEDs before MLB does, then the team itself will try to mask his tests so they can avoid punishment. |

"What punishments are you thinkjnf"
vacating a couple wins
maybe 5 or 10 depending on what the offense was |
|
|
I'll say this every time.
I think people really underestimate the amount of cheating / PED usage going on in sports. |
|
|
I was thinking fines to the team's that'd make more sense.. Taking wins away destroys the balance of the league as there wouldn't be an even number of winners and losers in each game |

Most of the owners are billionaires though, so unless it was a really large fine, I don't think that would have an effect at all |

Maybe salary cap penalties but salary caps don't exist in the MLB lolll |

Red Sox pitcher Rick Porcello suggested that players be given a life-time ban for just their first offense.

I think it's something the MLB has to think about. |

Where did "the" Come from, oh well. |

@nin
you could lower the luxury tax threshold for the team

"MLB should punish teams for individual players cheating"
No they shouldn't, thats wrong.
If you're class mate gets caught using illegal things, the rest of the class shouldn't be punished...thats just ridiculous, same for baseball...
They should just make the player suspensions/fines higher/longer...
~IMHO~ |
|
|
They can make their own decisions
If they want to use PEDs then ok. If they dont, ok |
