stop telling me to be happy. i am not happy, and i will not magically become happy just because it happens to be the day i escaped from the insides of my mother.
i get it. you're trying to be nice. but please, stop. if i wanted a bunch of people throwing "happy birthdays" at me from all sides, i would have made a thread asking for that. i made no such thread.
in fact, i made zero announcements whatsoever (aside from a small, "oh, hey, it's my birthday" at the plug last night- and please note that those people have not been posting about it everywhere.) those were the only people i told.
so how did it become suddenly a widely known thing that today just happened to be the anniversary of my birth? well, you see. deviantart likes to have a little chart at the bottom left hand side of your notifications page of which friends/people you watch have birthdays soon. so sometimes i get a note here or a comment there. whatever.
but pruz decides to take it out of deviantart, and, being the creep he is, decides that it's a great idea to post a thread about it, without my permission. and soon, reis follows suit. and people are posting about it on group statuses. and friends i was planning on telling later today find out before i can even tell them myself. and people i DIDN'T want to tell ALSO know.
let me make this perfectly clear, oh you wonderful people.

don't.
like.
birthdays.
and it's extremely rude to make an entire crappost about it, ESPECIALLY if i did not go out and tell you myself that it was my birthday. and pruz? yeah, asking if it's my birthday and waiting for an answer doesn't count as permission. so gfys.
this was going to be a rant about how i don't like/believe in birthdays, but apparently, i had to address proper etiquette, because some of you blokes can't let me tell people things on my own.
so, tune in next time, i guess, for the long rant on birthdays. whenever that may be. knowing how society works, someone will probably ask why i dislike them, and, knowing me, i'll eventually give up and just make the rant already so that everyone can just shut up and stop asking. |
