Is there any way to clear the party/personal chat?

I've noticed that there isn't a way to do that. For example, if somebody in a party says something that we don't want to be there, how can we get rid of it? Blocking or unfriending the person you're talking to makes the chat disappear but doesn't erase it. Is there any way to do it?
