Roblox is designed to be a family friendly platform that all users can play and create on. Since 2013, the select menu of chats has been replaced with a more free, but still flawed Whitelist system. This system only allows a select number of words to be chatted. This can easily cause strange words, misspelled words, made-up words, and words used in certain games to be censored unfairly. But, to look, Phantom Forces, a game that has been on the front page for more than a year has racked up 70 million visits. Murder Mystery with 64 million visits, and Apocalypse Rising with 59 million visits.
Yes, there are many other family friendly games out there with similar play ratings, but right now, in this current state. We have advertisements for WAR groups, deceitful advertisements to trick younger children, and a scam crisis that deceits younger children. And a stagnant crisis with our new starting avatars that seem "cool" because of the amount of people using them, but are in fact bland and somewhat ugly.
There are so many ways that the whitelist filter can be abused and used to harass the whitelist people because they cannot chat regularly, and this is bad. The whitelist is flawed in many ways, and still is very restrictive.
A blacklist, on the other hand, can be made to block only certain words, the way the 13+ one works, but be more restrictive. To block hurtful things for the 12- community, but still allowing criticism for other players that is not "Get a life," or "Shut the hell up noob." This also prevents words that are made up or made in the game to be allowed. This blacklist would be a little less safe, but still is better than the whitelist.
Now, you may say that there is a report abuse feature for a reason, but this feature is outdated, flawed, and often bot controlled, if not, never checked. These bots are poorly coded, and have no reasoning behind them.
