they're charging people robux for good reason though
if someone uploads a 2 minute sound, a sound moderator will have to sit through the whole 2 minutes while not doing anything else just listening to the sound
they made it cost R$100 so there's not like 20 2 minute sounds being uploaded every minute

Imagine if someone uploads a song from 21 Pilots. ROBLOX profits off of 21 Pilots. ROBLOX does not have the license to 21 Pilots.
What if I started selling DVDs of your music. Would you be happy with that? Or imagine if I got some of the revenue your place was producing.
They can pretty much do anything inside their game but in reality they are profiting off of someone else's work, which is outside the game. |

You are paying them to upload audio onto their site, you can't buy ad space for free. They're not selling the audio to make profit, they're asking for money if you want to put the audio on to their site. No offense but maybe listen in school or something before posting something like this. |

I found this which was interesting:
"You are the creator and owner of, or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions, to use and to authorize us to exploit the license that you grant to us hereunder; and Your UGC, and the use of your UGC as contemplated by these Terms, does not and will not: (i) infringe, violate, or misappropriate any third-party right, including any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, moral right, privacy right, right of publicity, or any other intellectual property or proprietary right; (ii) slander, defame, libel, or invade the right of privacy, publicity or other property rights of any other person; or (iii) cause ROBLOX to violate any law or regulation."
But when I look at the audio page I immediately see hundreds of sounds infringing the copyrights of many different companies.

I believe you answered your own question with that quote, I'm not too bothered to actually check. But why the hell does it matter anyways? 100 robux is only 1 dollar when purchases and only 2.50$ for devex. Its not like their ripping off an entire album worth of sales. |
