Everyone seems to hate the price floor, and the ROBLOX crew took a good step by removing Tix that was causing the economy fail, but why don't we just stop this problem all together by removing Robux? There would be no possible way to have a price floor anymore, and the economy will stay the exact same, steady way forever if we do this. Also, it would make all scams obsolete, so it would kill on scam spam by 100 percent!
This will also remove the "BRING BACK TIX!" spam as well, being that there is no currency.
ROBLOX needs to take the next step, as this makes as much sense as removing Tix.

Why not? This is a post I made that encourages a good cause, I believe this would benefit Roblox. I'm going to write your name on the petition because you technically did comment on the thread

ROBLOX wouldn't make any money. They need money to run, you know.

Just because I commented on your thread does not mean I support it.
Especially considering that I'm saying that this thread is bad. Removing such an integral feature as Robux would be the opposite of progress. Back when there was a big hullabaloo about removing tickets I jokingly suggested to remove Robux as well and to my surprise it actually caught on with some people. I regret doing so ever since.
The way Roblox runs now is through the exchange of Robux. Every interaction on Roblox is dictated by this sole virtual currency and the exchange it has to real life currency. Removing it does not solve problems, it creates them.
While ideologically there exists a perfect system for the exchange of virtual goods, removing Robux in exchange for something is not the proper way to achieve this. |

Just remove robux and get people to pay for goods with real life currency, problem solved.

The last sentence of what I said:
"While ideologically there exists a perfect system for the exchange of virtual goods, removing Robux in exchange for something is not the proper way to achieve this."
Removing Robux in exchange for person to person real life currency exchange is not a solution. In fact, it's better to have Roblox as a corporation being the middle man between transactions to prevent those who are otherwise uneducated about money or the value of it from getting themselves into trouble or scammed out of real life money.
With the amount of gullible people on this site, it's not hard to take advantage of them and often time many people do -- which again I applaud Roblox for being there to mitigate the damage done. |

Wait, are you people just humoring this, or are you being serious? |

Theres an easy solution to the problem with people being uneducated about money, we can just put an age limit on Roblox and keep people under a certain stage out. By the time you're 13 or 14 you're pretty knowledge about money so if anyone is under that age they can't join.
|
|
|
People could easily lie about their age like they already do on the site.

They can just provide some form of identificaton that proves they meet the age requirement during sign up...

If all of this happens, roblox will lose so many members and money. Even if the players had to pay to play roblox the number of players would decrease so much. Not to mention the fact roblox has a lot of employees already, not just need money for themselves but for DevEx, and roblox will never expand this way.

So now your idea has turned into:
Remove Roblox in place of person to person exchanges of real life currency.
Set and age limit for people to join Roblox. No one under the age of 13 can join.
People must provide some form of real life identification to gain access to the site.
This idea has somehow gotten worse that it started.
Since I have no want to continue this discussion any further, I suggest you read the forum post I linked previously in its entirety. |

@basnet
No Roblox would be receiving more money as real life currency would replace robux. And they wont lose any members because if the user does not meet the age requirement (14+), their account is locked until they meet the age requirement/

"Remove Roblox in place of person to person exchanges of real life currency."
Not person to person, the money would go straight to Roblox Corp.
"People must provide some form of real life identification to gain access to the site."
I only said that because you pointed out a flaw in the original idea (people can lie abot age).
