I plan on living in Europe at some point in my life, so maybe.
It's mainly because it's a widely-spoken language, somewhat similar to English, it's realistic for me to learn (like I have the resources) and tbh I kind of feel obligated to learn a second language for my own personal reasons.

actually i think i'll learn romanian because it's apparently much easier to learn than german, similar to italian, spanish, and other romance languages and i know a bunch of romanians
