I started to re open a project where I had mad an intro gui that played music. However it is for some reason no longer working? I have not built for a while so I do not know of any changes to how audio functions. The audio is simply in the gui container and is scripted to play as soon as the gui is inserted in to the playerGUI. Anyone know why this is? |

gui's are associated with your screen.
not with your player.
of course it wont work, you can't put an audio in a GUI LOL.
but for more informations how to solve ask scripting forum area.

I'm having the same problem. It seems that any audio linked to the player doesn't work anymore.
Also @Teapot_Pwnage, You can infact play audio from PlayerGui, I do it all the time. But, it seems that a recent roblox bug broke it for now. |

bruh its not a bug anymore, my friend is a professional scripter and roblox literally blocked that feature. so it doesnt work, unless majority of scripters request it back. <3

They didn't block the feature, there wouldn't be a point to doing that. Anyways, it shows up as an error, it says; onSoundLoaded cannot find SoundService.(Sound ID) I'm sure roblox will get to fixing that. |

Sorry, I forgot that you're allowed to post full roblox links here. I've placed an overworld music script inside the player's backpack, every sound that worked now doesn't. However, the sounds inside a LOCAL script work. Also, button sounds in most gui buttons don't work either, the initial click sound works, but that's in a local script as well. here's the full link the the game:

I see even in the last update that Roblox still hasn't fixed the audio not playing in certain parents... |
