but here's the thing: water
the old terrain water doesn't look better compared to smooth terrain, but the way water interacts with smooth terrain is worse than old terrain water interacting with old terrain.
with the old terrain, you can see the water actually moving up and down the terrain, like waves. With new terrain you don't see that at all. the water actually seems sorta weird near grass or rock(you can sometimes see triangles but you can't really see the water actually moving)
