This is a simple layout of what you’ll need to have and what you'll need to know for interview sessions.
[INTERVIEW RULES]
These are the rules you copy and paste into the game.
Rule #1 Grammar is needed at all times, inside and outside your interview. Failing to use grammar will result in failure.
Rule #2 Respect is needed at all times, towards your interviewer and fellow future baristas. Disrespect is not tolerated.
Rule #3 You will have 40 seconds to answer each question, exceeding this time limit will result in failure. We want fast baristas!
Rule #4 You will have 10 seconds to respond to your interviewer to show you are not away, exceeding this time limit and we’ll think you’re away and kick you from the server.
Rule #5 You will be sent to the pass or fail rooms depending on whether you passed or failed your interview, please do not argue with your interviewer if you have failed; just come back to the next interview session we host and try again!
[INTERVIEW QUESTIONS]
These are the questions you use to interview people.
Q1 Why do you want to work for Velvet Cafe?
Q2 What other companies have you worked for that were similar to Velvet Cafe?
Q3 What will you do that will benefit Velvet Cafe?
Q4 Please correct the following sentence. “i wnt 2 werk at velvt ceffe"
Q5 What are some note-worthy characteristics you possess?
Q6 Do you have any final questions, comments, or concerns?
[INTERVIEW PROCEDURE]
This explains how an interview should be conducted.
So once done with intros and rules you will select people at random to interview. You should choose to interview those who are sitting down and behaving over the ones being minorly disruptive. You can take them to an empty room and have them sit at the desk and begin the interview. I personally like to ask if they have any questions before starting in case they are confused by something. Then you can start by going down the list of questions and ask them one at a time. You will be judging them harshly on response time and correct grammar usage. We want fast and professional baristas. You will also judge them on how elaborate and well thought their answers are to each question. If they pass you will name them "Passed" and send them to where the host wants passers to go or t##s## in the front lobby quietly if no place was assigned.
[INTERVIEW TIPS]
[1] Judge responses based on these factors: Response time, proper grammar usage, elaborate thought processed in the response, a clear subject of the response, the response is related to the question.
[2] Safe Chatters cannot pass no matter what.
[3] People can correct themselves if they make a grammar/spelling mistake and not be penalized for it, if they don’t correct themselves then they are penalized.
[4] Look for a more elaborate vocabulary and concise sentences as well as their sentences being coherent.
