Section I : The Role of the Military Police
Article I : The Military Police’s main role is to uphold and enforce the laws.
Article II : All Military Police members should commit the rules and regulations, and the current constitution to memory, as they are the basic tools of our job.
Article III : The Military Police serves many vital roles including but not limited to: Guarding, Patrolling, Arresting, Jailor-duty, Sentry-duty, Escorting, FIS-Missions, Riot-Suppression, and Participating in Expeditions.
Section II : The Hierarchy of the Military Police
Article I : The FIS is not included in the hierarchy as they operate outside it. They are not above anyone, but exist solely to follow the orders of the Commander and CiC.
Article II : The Military Police’s ranks are in this order from highest to lowest: Commander, Assistant to the Commander, Captain, Officer, Junior Officer, Lieutenant, Sergeant, Corporal, Lance Corporal, Soldier, and Conscript.
Section III : Jailing and Sentences
Article I : It is the duty of the Military Police to arrest and hold criminals who break the law. When arresting a criminal, you are to state the reason for arrest. If you fail to do so, no charges can be brought up against that person. Once arrested, the prisoner will be reset forcefully to the prison, where they will be told their sentence and guarded by an MP member for the duration of that sentence.
Article II : The following are viable reasons to make an arrest, followed by the sentence received for each:
• Harming a legal shifter, ‘’10 mins’’
• Ramming/Hitting people with a horse after being told not to, ‘’10 mins’’
• Leaving the game while being detained, ‘’5 more minutes to your sentence’’
• Harassing a civilian/trainee/branch member, ‘’10 mins’’
• Going inside the jail and returning after being told you are not allowed inside ‘’5 mins’’
• Slandering a branch, “10 mins”(Slander: Making false statements with the intention to ruin someones reputation)
• Killing a civilian without reason, “10 mins, plus another 5 per extra casualty”
• Killing a trainee or branch member without reason, “15 mins, plus another 5 per extra casualty”
• A civilian attaining weapons after having been warned they are not allowed to have them, “10 mins”
• A trainee or branch member aiding a civilian in getting a weapon, “15 mins”
• A trainee below the rank of basic getting 3dmg after having been told to reset and failing to do so, “10 mins”
• A trainee or branch member disrespecting an HR, it is up to the HR whether to arrest them or not, “10 mins”
• Hate language being repeatedly used after being warned to watch the amount of hate language they are using, “5 mins, plus another 5 per incident of hate language afterwards”
• Killing a shifter with a musket after being warned that it is illegal, “10 mins”
• Disrupting a training after being asked not to, “10 mins, plus another 10 each time afterwards”
*Note that these rules are subject to change and more laws may be added.
Also, when you are uncertain if someone should be jailed for something due to it not being on this list, the decision is up to the highest ranked Officer+ on the server.
Section IV : KOS and AOS
Article I : KOS stands for Kill On Sight, a term given to a certain individual who commits a crime often enough to earn that rank, refuses to be arrested, “ie. by rejoining the server.” The only ranks capable of making someone KOS are Captain+, and only with irrefutable proof of the persons guilt, “ie. Video evidence, witnesses are not included.” The person who has been labeled KOS can only be cleared of it by a person of the rank Captain+.
Article II : AOS stands for Arrest On Sight, a term given to a certain individual who has committed a crime, hacked, glitched etc. enough to warrant the punishment. Only member of the MP of the ranks Officer+, Commanders, or the CiC, can label someone AOS. The sentence is revoked only when someone of the same ranks as stated above declares that person to no longer be AOS.
Section V : Authority over the Military Police
Article I : The only people who have authority over the Military Police are as follows: The Commander in Chief and HRs and MRs in the Military Police
Article II : While they may have authority over the Military Police, the Military Police only truly answers to the Commander in Chief and the Commander of the Military Police. This means that although a HR may request you to do something, if it goes against the orders of the Commander in Chief or of the Commander of the Military Police, those orders are overruled.
Article III : If someone in another branch attempts to interfere in the carrying out of your duties as a member of the Military Police, that person is to be warned not to interfere, and if they continue, are to be arrested and reported to the CiC and Commander of the Military Police.
Article IV : Only those at the rank of Lieutenant+ can order patrols, or set guards.
Section VI : Gathering Evidence/Intelligence
Article I : When you suspect something illegal, or potentially dangerous to AOT:U is happening, you should automatically begin recording in order to be able to provide evidence of the matter should the need arise.
Article II : When gathering intelligence do not let other people know that you are, remain calm and act normally.
Article III : All evidence that is needed in a court case, is thought to be of importance by the gatherer of the evidence/intelligence, or is requested by the CiC or Commander is to be swiftly and dutifully handed over at the earliest possible occasion.
Section VII : Representing the Military Police
Article I : As a member of the Military Police you should keep in mind at all times that the Military Police represents you as much as you represent the Military Police. Thus all Military Police members are to use proper grammar, respect their Hr’s, show restraint and etiquette. Conduct yourselves in a way that will only improve the reputation of the Military Police.
Section VIII : Trainings
Article I : Trainings will be held on the times dictated by the schedule, Military Police of the ranks Officer+ may hold trainings.
Article II : During trainings all Military Police members should be focused and professional, if you need to speak, ask PTS or Permission to speak, beforehand. If you have to go afk, say so, and step out of the line. Acting immature and disrupting trainings is grounds for removal from the training and demotion.
Section IX : FIS equipment
Article I : The only people allowed to carry AP are as it follows : Commander in Chief, Military Police Commander, Assistant of Commander, FIS captain, FIS members and people authorized by the Commander of the Military Police.
Article II : Improper use of such equipment will result in a demotion or permanent removal from the FIS.
Article III : The use of the AP gun is limited to emergency situation such as a rogue shifter or a shifter shifting illegaly.
