I dont know what the directions are asking. It says to base the triad off of the bass note. But in the second example the bass note is an E and the corresponding triad is a C major triad? im not sure if the numbers under mean go up that interval from the bass note or what. as you can see i attempted some idk if theyre right. if anyone can clarify it would be much appreciated.

a C triad with an E ## ### #### is a... C/E or you could say Em(#5) and you're describing this scenario poorly

a triad starts on the bass note, or the tonic note a c triad is c e and g idk why theres an e but yeah i could just be not understanding the scenario
