If clothing was free,
1) People would copy clothing that developers made and spent hours on perfecting, so the actual developer wouldn't make any money and there would soon be much less developers on roblox.
2) Roblox would lose money since I'm sure people buy robux/builders club to customize their avatar with clothing.

that logic is flawed on reason number 1 @opticuniversse, if the developer wants the shirt to be free then let it be. Also, how would the other people try to steal the clothing? it doesnt make sense |

It's really easy to steal clothing. Look at my shirts, and look who made them. I uploaded them all for myself for absolutely no cost instead of paying 5-10 robux to get them.
And the thing is, most developers don't want their shirts to be free. They want to be rewarded for the hard work that they spent making the outfit. I was saying, people are going to copy clothing (which takes only 1-3 minutes with a good connection) and sell it for nothing, so the developers who spent time and effort making them will eventually stop wanting to make new clothes if they won't get rewarded.

It hasn't been patched, trust me. If you want me to prove it please ask and I'll go right ahead and upload some. I don't upload the clothes for sale, I uploaded them for personal use and to prove that this is possible whenever these threads come up.

Hey. Solution for the clothing thing.
Make it possible to create free clothing, but not make EVERYTHING free.
This would fix a few issues. |

just reuse the id on the asset link kek, not patched, it's a feature of the site
also memekid, copying for personal use is still copying, clothing creators dont want you to do that either |
