Invicta's very name originates from the latin word "Invictus," which means "unconquerable." It's only natural that Invicta must embody the very thing we represent. We are one group, and as such, we must stand together even in times of doubt and peril. Read these words; learn them and remember them. ------------------------------ 1. Teamwork is key. If everyone has a purpose to achieve during combat as comrades, everyone will gladly lend a helping a hand to each other. Use this ability as best as you can. 2. Respect your comrades regardless of rank. As Invictans, those who are above us deserve respect because they lead us, and those below us deserve that same respect because they serve us. 3. Help your comrades. If you want to tell someone they didn't do something right, give them fair criticism and explain what they did wrong and how they can improve on it. Everyone deserves to get better through their struggle. 4. Your actions affects others. To stay unified as brothers, sisters, comrades, and friends, we must treat each other as such. Going beyond the call of duty, and doing things others won't goes a long way to helping us stand together as one. 5. Do the best you can do. In every area, you must face any challenge that comes your way with indomitable will. If you did your best, you've done your duty. With hard work and dedication comes reward. No matter how small a contribution, whether it's simply fixing gap in a line, your efforts will give everyone that extra inch they need. 6. Follow the codex. Encourage others to do so as well. Remember it's laws, for it will propel us further then most will ever go. 7. Never hold a grudge. Our achievements will only come as a result of active cooperation and forgiveness. Even if you despise someone guts personally, keep those grudges to yourself. Most important of all, never back-stab your comrades because they are only there to help you and others. It's best to move on from disagreements. 8. Take initiative. You don't need an officer to organize yourselves on a line or tell you to fix a gap. To follow your orders is an act of duty, but doing so without being told to is to excel your duty. We don't give medals to people for doing their duty, but excelling it. However, do not let this get in the way of normal duties or following orders. 9. Take pride in our Empire, and encourage it continually. Simply shouting things in battle like "Invicta will prevail", "Invicta will never die", or simply "Glory to Invicta" makes all the difference. 10. Never give up. Never give in. It's in our codex, and it's in our very name for we are Invictans. ----- OFFICER'S WAY ------ 1. Be fair in your judgement. Hear both sides of an argument to logically come up with a sound conclusion. 2. Be what you want others to be. If you are motivated, others will be motivated. If you are disciplined, others will be disciplined. As an officer, you must lead, motivate, guide, and inspire the troops and embody what being a leader means. 3. Never be too strict or too soft. If you are too strict, expect betrayal. If you are too soft, expect your men to walk all over you and your teachings. You must stand as an example to be followed, leading with a balance of both even if it's difficult. 4. Trust your men to get the job done. Work with them through their errors instead of shouting orders at them through a microphone. 5. Keep the Empire's pride and morale high. Nothing is more important than the loyalty and dedication of our soldiers. Giving words of encouragement helps a lot because if they are in good spirit, then it will prevent betrayal and backstabbing. Make sure you always host trainings and raids, and make speeches regularly. 6. Reward your men. Give them feedback and positive reinforcement. If someone did good, tell them. If someone didn't do as well, tell them and explain why in a fair way. You only need a few words to raise someone's spirits up. ---- MY LAST WORD ---- Invicta will inevitably go through challenge. We must not lose hope and falter during times of hardship. Always keep calm, and expand your perspective beyond your own. As we stand together, we must all encourage each other to be a part of the solution to any problem we have. You may choose whether to follow these guidelines or not. This only serves as a guide for how you can serve Invicta. If you are confused, come back to this to clear it up. Let these guidelines guide us through our bright future with many obstacles and dark times in front of us. Let no group take away the light that shines upon our path to glory. Glory to Invicta! -------------------------------------- - Written by the Didact - Credits to "- The Vaktovian Path -" as being the main inspiration for these guidelines
