I recently bought a new Asus computer with a GTX 1070 graphics card and it seems to be stuck on the BIOS menu screen, anyone know how to fix this? I've searched online but I've been getting no luck.

Try this fix, Quoted:"You could start swapping parts out to try and test the machine, but I'm thinking either ram, motherboard or hd. But heck as funny as computers can be it could be the power supply even. At work the first thing I usually do is pull the ram and put it back in."

You can try to see where the boot list is. Set your main HDD to be first in the list (you can just usually drag it) and then "Save & Continue".

Even though it just booting up to BIOS screen can mean that it's failing to detect the OS, don't remember exactly.

That reminded me, some pre-built computers come with no OS included in them. Have you checked that?

@moded How did you get the ban hammer?

Well, I've been still trying to see what I do could, but nothing is working. I pulled out the Ram and put it back in, it would also say Operating System is not Found if it didn't detected so that's something I'm not too sure about. I went under the boot list, and again did what you did so I might just decide to return it and get myself a different computer since it's been less than 30 days from when I bought it.

Don't worry about your components. Yeah, that's why it goes into BIOS because it has nothing else to boot into. What model your computer is (like the #### ###### That specific model might not come with an OS installed. If that's the case you don't need to return it because you can always purchase an OS.

" What model your computer is" By that I mean what's your computer model?

Make sure #### #### order is set to start with the hard drive. I've never actually tried to boot without an OS drive set up, so I'm not entirely sure if the machine would go straight to a "Missing Operating System" message, ## ## the BIOS, but I've never heard of a machine booting directly to the BIOS. Doublecheck what you purchased, and see if it explicitly states that it comes with a pre-installed OS. If it does not, ###### is free and you could probably install and temporarily use that to obtain a .. less than legitimate copy of Windows 7 or something.

Well I mean, the computer was working just fine yesterday night until I started to notice everything become slow. I tried to restart and some error popped up really fast and then it continued with the restart and brought me up to this menu. My Computer model is ######

try changing the boot list. Or you may not have windows so install windows and if THAT doesnt work try swapping hard drives and putting windows, linux, etc. on it. and if all else fails, refund the pc.

HDD failure possibly or maybe just that something really dun goofed with the OS (which I really wanna doubt). Do you have a Windows CD with you by any chance (or usb stick)?

Well, by the USB stick I mean that if they gave you ## ### stick that contains the OS installation.

Wait you mean it was working previously? Booted into windows and running just fine? OP this is very important information. You do have an OS then, and it's a hardware problem. Open up the case and reseat the RAM, ensure the hard drive is properly plugged in, make sure your CPU has a heat sink and fan properly mounted.
