It is very annoying when a game created by a single user ends up being worked on by multiple users and the game isn't under a group because it means any payment to the users who work on it who are not the user whose account the game is under will get taxed twice, only the user whose account the game is under can edit the title and description, create gamepasses, add gear to the game, revert the game to previous versions and various other things.
Sure, one partial solution would be to upload the game to a group but that has problems since the game will lose all place visits and favourites and all of the gamepasses and developer products from the old place will need to be added to the new place and the gamepasses under the old place will still need to work.
Since the game would lose all place visits and favourites, less people would end up playing it as they wouldn't find it as easily when searching, anyone who had the old game favourited will need to find the new game (which shouldn't be too difficult if a link is in the description of the old game) and will need to favourite the new game.
Moving a game to a group at the moment is needlessly complicated, why can't games JUST be moved from a user's profile to a group? |
