can somebody tell wist that the yankees aren't the only team that has big money now
cubs will most likely want to keep him. |

why go to a team that didn't even make the playoffs when you can stay with the team that had the best record in baseball. |

what are you smoking

gimme Britton, Davis, Melancon, Jansen, and Ziegler all before Chapman
also Miller if he counts as a closer, maybe even Uehara |
|

>Ziegler
come on.
Chapman has been on an elite reliever for years. He's top 3. |
|
|
Reliever is really pushing it. Keep it to closer. |
|
|
top 10? yes, top 3? NO
maybe Ziegler was a stretch but i would definitely throw Andrew Miller there over Chapman
as far as reliever, heck no |
|

Nope. 4th lowest ERA by a reliever in the regular season, and Dan Otero is nowhere near a top 3 reliever, because before this year he was an absolute liability. |

Under every single stat he's at the LEAST 3rd.
Stop holding a bias for the sake of being devil's advocate. |
|
|
yet this was only the 3rd time he's been in the TOP TEN in ERA
how is that top 3 reliever "for years"
gimme Miller, Davis, Britton, and Melancon over Chapman and it's not even close. it's not bias either, they're just simply better. they don't throw "gas" like Chapman does, but they have far better control and are more efficient |

Where would you rank Melancon, just curious as a Nats fan
He's been solid this year especially for us |

"yet this was only the 3rd time he's been in the TOP TEN in ERA"
4th in reliever ERA in 2015.
ok.
every other reliever either blows out out in 4-5 years, or has 2 or 3 good years where they are elite and then fall back.
since 2011 only kimbrel has a lower era for a reliever. and kimbrel has fallen quite a bit since he left atlanta. |
