ok, this is just a forum explaining the seedings of the hhcl west, and what teams are currently save from being knocked out of playoff contention and who isnt.

by looking at these records, the gap in between det and chi gets bigger and bigger day after day, as it looks right now, if you're 5th seed and up, you're COMPLETELY safe for the rest of the season. theres no way any of these teams will pull a s11 van and just randomly fall looking at the rosters of the teams.
but one thing for sure, is that seeds 13-6 can still easily change, only a 8 point gap from the 13th seed, but if teams like nsh, arz, and lak still wanna sweep in for 8th or 7th seed, they really do need to pick up the pace.
teams like COL, DAL, and STL, ANA, and DET are all fighting for seeds 10 - 6, its very questionable on which team can pull off a comeback and sweep in for a playoff seed, but im sure that if col becomes more active, gets good trades, and can make their roster more active, they could aim for 8th seed or 7th seed, or maybe even 6th seed, but dal is also right behind stl, no telling if dal can keep the winning going. ANA has zzjackzzz back opn their lineup after the 15 game suspension, which will definitely help anaheim a lot after the slow start. but as for STL and DET, they better start winning more before COL and DAL get ahead of them, but I doubt DET will let things go easily.
now i dont even need to talk about van, they are completely done.
