"What is it like cutting up a frog(or whatever) for the first time?"
It's really not that bad. The smell of formaldehyde can be really strong sometimes (it doesn't smell great at all), but the actual dissection isn't all that terrible. I was even able to dissect a second one because someone was absent, so there was just an extra frog. It's a really good learning experience. It's been a while though.
"What would cause asthma?"
You can have it from birth, or it can be sort of primed by various lung infections. Males usually grow out of it, but females tend to have it forever. They can grow out of it in some cases too though. It has a countless number of triggers for the attacks themselves, most of which are allergens like pollen and mold.
"How can allergies form at random times?"
Allergies are just a goof that your body makes. Your body comes into contact with a substance, which your body (incorrectly) deems as a threat. It neutralizes the threat and remembers it via its memory cells. Whenever your body comes into contact with that allergen again, your body believes it's a threat from previous experience. It releases immunoglobulin E (IgE), which produce histamine. Histamine is what causes the swelling and itchy rashes during most allergic reactions. Most allergies develop during childhood, but your body can still develop allergies later on in life. Usually it's with substances you have had no, too little, or too much exposure to.
