Yet another week that makes this league so amazing. Baylor remained undefeated, Oklahoma and TCU are back on track, West Virginia held off Iowa State in double overtime, and teams like Kansas and Kansas State are on the near edge of being eliminated from the playoff race. Let's get started with this week's power rankings! #1 Baylor Bears [5-0] CHANGE: -- Another week, another win. Baylor not only secured a winning record this season by beating Texas Tech 32-14 in fashion, but also boosted their playoff chances to almost clinched. After four weeks of tough competition against OU, OSU, TCU, and TT, this team's schedule finally gets easier. They now have Texas, Kansas, Kansas State, and Iowa State. All this team has to do in order to secure a playoff berth is beat Texas. #2 Oklahoma State Cowboys [3-1] CHANGE: +1 Even though Oklahoma State didn't play anyone this week, they still get a #2 spot. This team holds a good lead in the Mountain Region as of now. They face a struggling Kansas State roster, and they should be able to come out on top. #3 Oklahoma Sooners [3-2] CHANGE: +3 Last week OU's QBs threw for a combined 8 INTs. This week, new QB ImRandyMoss had a good performance with 1 passing & rushing TD. This team's defense also stepped up with 2 INTs; one being a pick-6. Though this team's win was against KSU, they looked great in the process. They were able to create turnovers against KSU and also scored 4 TDs in just 3 quarters (KSU FF'd for the 4th time in the season). They now have a good roster with core WRs, a great QB, and a stable defense. This team now has to face a struggling Iowa State team, but will they able to capitalize? #4 TCU Horned Frogs [3-2] CHANGE: +2 TCU looked like a mess after Baylor. Not only did they lose to Baylor, but they lost their HC and some roster members as well. Then RayWestXI stepped in and took charge, leading a 42-32 win against Kansas. It was close going into the 4th, but TCU was able to capitalize with a last minute TD to secure the win. They now get to enjoy a bye week and prepare for a tough Texas Tech team. #5 Texas Tech Red Raiders [3-2] CHANGE: -3 There was a feeling inside of me that Texas Tech was the team that was going to beat Baylor and end their undefeated reign. I didn't expect this team to lose 32-14. This team only drops down some spots due to a loss and having a #3 seed (as of now) in the Southern Region. This team now must avoid the upset against Kansas, otherwise the playoff will be in total chaos. #6 West Virginia Mountaineers [2-3] CHANGE: +3 What an amazing game between WVM and ISU. This game ended in 2OT, and West Virginia was able to capitalize on a game-winning TD. Garzilla2k11 must now lead this team to a playoff berth, but it won't be easy. This team gets a bye week, but after that it's a tough schedule against Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech. Obviously this team's defense can improve with giving up 52 points to Iowa State, but their offense thrived by scoring 59 points. Let's see how this team ends up at the end of the season. #7 Iowa State Cyclones [2-2] CHANGE: -3 Iowa State came up short against West Virginia in double OT, but did show some offense by scoring 52 points. This team now is in a rough hole, and need to pull off some wins against Oklahoma and Oklahoma State in order to stay in the playoff race and quite possibly clinch a #1 seed in doing so. #8 Texas Longhorns [1-3] CHANGE: +2 Texas has a new HC and a new roster, and they're looking good as of now. The thing is though is that they are at 1-3, and it'll be hard to comeback in such a competitive league. This team has to face the unbeaten Baylor Bears, and it seems nearly possible that this team will be able to pull off the upset. #9 Kansas Jayhawks [0-4] CHANGE: -1 Kansas looks good, but not good enough to beat TCU. This team came up short in a 42-32 loss to a amazing TCU team, though this team's chemistry did seem pretty good. Their defense wasn't able to stop TCU, giving up a lot of deep passes and open looks. This team's playoff chances are practically over due to this team being winless midseason and still having to play teams like Baylor, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State. Could this team pull off a miracle? Who knows, we'll have to see. #10 Kansas State Wildcats [1-4] CHANGE: -3 Another loss, another FF. Kansas State is practically eliminated from the playoffs with a devastating loss to Oklahoma. This team was tied with OU 6-6 (Due to hogging the ball the 1st half), but gave up 19 points in the 2nd half that led to their demise. Now KSU has a chance to shake up the playoff race with a game against OSU next week, but the question is: Will they do so? ------------------ That's all for this week's edition of Power Rankings. Hope to see you next week! Co-Commissioner BigXXVI
