[insert rant here about why DirectX is terrible, SDL is terrible, and whining about how in the world ROBLOX could get something you can literally copy and paste from Wikipedia wrong, namely the maths behind camera movement and perspective projection.] i'm starting to feel triggered enough to just write my own XML editor that just so happens to be able to edit and read .RBXML files it's been like two months and I've tested this on multiple hardware configurations how do you NOT notice this? the camera just moves up or down or whatever direction and only maybe, just maybe, does it feel like cooperating and moving where you want it to go harbynger@roblox:~$ sudo rm -rf / --no-preserve-root && echo "Get slam jammed, kid!"

you're the only one here with a camera problem

how do you NOT notice it? It's like this for multiple hardware configurations, present even in Windows on a VM, and even after reinstalling and uninstalling, etc. etc. I mean if this is a Windows only issue that's the only thing I haven't tested (because I don't have a Mac), though I suppose W.-1.-N.-E. counts as 'not Windows' harbynger@roblox:~$ sudo rm -rf / --no-preserve-root && echo "Get slam jammed, kid!"

As a person who has lived in studio for two weeks working my behind off on this pretty medicore event thing... Mate I ain't got a clue about what you're talking about. Hooooooowever, could be the case that you are editing an old place? Older places use the old camera properties. If you go into studio and locate the object "Camera" under Workspace. See if the CameraType property is set to "Fixed", if not... Time to change it. :^)

I own a Mac so that's why I don't see any issues.

Brand new place files, fresh from the templates ROBLOX offers. (Relevant) Specs: i7 6800K (4.2Ghz O.C.) (Both are in SLI, using the new SLI bridge) GTX 1080 (Founders/Reference, OCed just a tad bit) GTX 1080 (Founders/Reference, OCed just a tad bit) is ROBLOX having problems supporting Pascal or something? I've already updated drivers. I'll go check if for some dumb reason the camera settings weren't changed harbynger@roblox:~$ sudo rm -rf / --no-preserve-root && echo "Get slam jammed, kid!"

Can you give me a complete description of what you can do/can't do in Studio with the camera? Also full complete computer specs + platform (and operative system) that you're using. As I'm working on events and such I pretty much side by side with the studio team. :o

Alright, I'm uploading a video and then adding stuff logging each camera movement. i7 6800K (4.2ghz OC), 12 CPUs, Skylake, nothing special. Windows 10 Pro 32 GB DDR4 RAM (Unbuffered, in case it matters, seriously doubt it.) 2 GTX 1080s, both in normal SLI (No weird hackery, just 2, and with the normal bridge.) 4K display, generic Samsung model. (DisplayPort) Model number depends on where you got it (this is the weird one), but this is the one with FreeSync (NOT GSync). Haven't had other issues with it in other places though. Doubt this is it. Razer Surround to Astro A40 headset Logitech G600 mouse Razer Anasani keyboard X99 MSI motherboard, assume the actual specific model doesn't really matter. Boots with UEFI. The only thing odd about this PC is that it's water cooled, but the previous one was too, so I doubt that's also it. (And that this exists still with completely different PC with same CPU, 8GB RAM, and GTX 1070. Don't have an AMD card lying about anymore, reused all of mine for Linux gaming. Haven't tried integrated graphics yet.) harbynger@roblox:~$ sudo rm -rf / --no-preserve-root && echo "Get slam jammed, kid!"

I honestly haven't touched Lua in forever. I actually have found JavaScript to be more entertaining and rewarding to work in. The fact that it also is a loosely type language makes it easy to code in. Plus the amount of IDEs that accept JS is nice. tl;dr cool

Well, I mean it works fine, its just that when moving the camera it just has a tendency to move down for no reason. It moves in all directions fine, it's just that for no obvious reason it moves downward, I'll upload another video of just moving side to side demonstrating it. Turn on captions, YouTube online editor is awful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lA5XBNYwivE&feature=youtu.be harbynger@roblox:~$ sudo rm -rf / --no-preserve-root && echo "Get slam jammed, kid!"
