I would've enjoyed it more if I didn't get sick from food poisoning three days before I visited, the only thing I could eat was Chick-fil-A, and I farted out that food all the way out from Lubbock until Brownwood, so like 2/3 of the way home The only thing that turned me off at Texas Tech was the dorms, but dorms are dorms no matter what college you go to. The fact that the school seems pretty easy relative to UT/A&M, there's plenty of opportunities to get away from academics through rec sports/football games, etc. all seems pretty good to me

Also another problem I really have is that for on-campus dining, it doesn't look like you have that many options. You kinda have to go off-campus for things like Cane's How is the Asian restaurant in the SUB? I wanted to try it that day but it was closed so I just had to go w/ Chick-fil-A

it's awful, don't subject yourself to it there's a decent local chinese place off campus that delivers though menu is in my dorm room so i couldn't tell you right now what it is

I like Asian food, there's great Asian food in Austin right off UT's campus on the Drag. If Lubbock doesn't have at least one good Asian restaurant that's another turnoff... Sure it may not be as big of a turnoff as the dorms but it's added to the list

How many do you take? Input from any college student is welcome. I genuinely have no idea how many I'm going to take anyway

I stopped partying back in late September You run into the same people every time and you get tired of repeating the process every weekend I just make plans with individual friends on weekends now or just do whatever I feel like

And the frat and sororities have parties like 4 days out of the week Honestly you can party all you want, but your GPA is going to reflect the time you were partying that you should have been studying If you limit yourself to parties on Friday and Saturday night you shouldn't really have a problem

well join a frat cause they're the only ones reckless enough to throw a party almost every night of the week

i assume its relatively easy to join a frat... but do they have a bad rep as total douchecanooes? what percent of the student population would you say belongs to a frat?

i wouldnt ever join a frat but they have it planned out that they can maximize their partying time. a lot of those guys have all the past assignments, tests, labs and everything from past brothers. even if the questions are changed a bit, you can only ask the same type of questions so many ways so it really shortens their homework time, as for them studying for tests, they are the ones who get 100%'s on homeworks but usually struggle through the actual tests.

it's easy to join a frat, it's hard to join a good one and the good one's are going to be the ones with the best parties and the most girls. they're also going to be the most expensive and the better your frat is, the more likely you're going to be a total #### just because you can be
