@Sentrys I'd rather take my chances with large insurance debt and a clean bill of health than have to wait 3 months for a simple consult about a life saving surgery. Yes, Canada's health care system is SIGNIFICANTLY more affordable. But we're talking about something where the tradeoff is taking on an ENORMOUS risk to personal and public health. What if someone waiting for treatment has an diagnosed pathological disease which is rapidly spreading to everyone they come into contact with while they wait for treatment? What if someone is waiting for treatment for a curable malignant tumor, and every day they wait makes it harder and harder to cure? 3 days might not hurt much, but 3 months could mean certain death. Is having free healthcare a good tradeoff then? You can't be in a position of power and value affordability over safety. That's unethical. It's ####### ###### ########### It is a huge, pathetic, and abhorrent abuse of power to force someone to gamble with their life waiting for necessary medical treatment while claiming that it is for their financial "benefit".

@HMAX I don't understand diplomacy? You sure about that buddy? America is bad at diplomacy? You absolutely sure about that? Let's break it ############## #### I'd like to say that appeasement is a crappy way to run diplomacy. Trudeau appeasing the Cubans is a crappy way for him to run agreements in a country which is already at diplomatic odds with just about every other capitalist country in the world. Diplomacy is all about evening the playing field and keeping everyone in check. Giving someone everything and taking very little in return(basically what Trudeau appears to be trying to do) has been proven to be a failing tactic. You just get rolled over every time. It's why the current agreements Obama put into place with Cuba are complete trash, they just allow Cuba to step back onto the global scale without any checks to ensure that human rights are re-established and the dictatorship is deposed. So right off the bat, the only real diplomacy tactic Trudeau is using is one that has always failed and will continue to fail. Then there's the fact that he's now been put at odds with several other countries and their leaders. I don't know if you were aware of this, but people >>REALLY<< did not like Fidel Castro. For good reason. Not only did he decimate basic human rights and liberties in Cuba, but he was also a dangerous wildcard player on the global field as he conspired with the Soviet Union. Let's remember that the closest the world came to a global nuclear war was when he allowed Russia to stockpile nuclear arms in Cuba. People viewed castro extremely disfavorably, and Trudeau has no doubt put himself at odds with several countries far more significant than Cuba by being so positive about the dictator. And sorry, you said that America isn't good at diplomacy? Let's first remember what I said about appeasement not being a valid method of diplomacy. If you want proof of that, look at Britain's treatment of Germany from 1933 until 1939. Giving a country leniency and gifts when you're trying to get it to do something you want is just, plain, dumb. So then let's look at what the U.S. has been doing in the years since WWII. Co-Found the UN, keep it headquarter in the states, and help it operate over the past 70 years? Big ol' check. The UN has been key to global diplomacy and the dissolution of some very iffy situations since its formation. There would have undoubtedly been WWIII (most likely sparked by the Cuban missile crisis) without US/UN intervention. Continuously expand and create free trade agreements which benefit the US as much as other countries? Check. While some more recent free trade agreements have Found and maintain NATO, the premier military alliance in the world? Checkorundo. Finance European nations under the Marshal plan in order to create a permanent defensive barrier against the Soviet Union and a strong alliance with western European nations? Yep Yep Yep! And even though recent years have brought around more questionable diplomatic actions by our previous idiotic presidents(Bush + Obama), make no mistake that the United States is the single most powerful diplomatic nation in the world. Don't talk to me about not knowing politics. All you do is whine about how everyone else is wrong and you're right, HMAX. I'd be genuinely amazed if you, just once, just ONCE posted a little bit of proof or support to your ridiculous claims, rather than just blindly shout out "YOURE WRONG YOURE STUPID YOU DONT GET IT" to everyone who has a slightly different idea than you do. From what you've posted on here, I can gather that you have no idea what you're talking about, and just follow a hyper-liberal argument model to try and beat people into submission. Sit down dude, you have 0 idea how politics work.
