Tournament Participation
To become an official team you have to meet requirements.
You must have a group named after your team.
You must have six members.
You must have uniforms.
Match Rules
Serving
While serving, you get two chances.
Saying drop allows you to drop the ball and it won't count.
If it hits the net and falls on your side the opposing team gets a point.
You must be outside the white line to serve, and while doing a jump serve you must jump before the line.
If the ball vanishes in a serve, it does not count as one of the chances.
You can't block or spike a serve.
Blocking
Blocking resets the touch count.
If a spiker hits a block and it goes out of bounds after touching the block, it counts as a point for the spiker's team (called a wipe).
Timeouts, substitutes, redos, and required limit.
You get two timeouts per set. Each is 45 seconds long.
If a player is broken during a play it will result in a redo.
Rejoining is an automatic timeout and does not count as either of the team's timeouts.
You should have atleast 1-2 substitutes with you, although this is not mandatory.
You have to have atleast 5 players to play, which will result in a 5v####v###eing the max.
Teams should meetup 15 mins before the match (not mandatory).
If you can't get the required amount 5 minutes after the match is supposed to begin it'll result in a forfeit.
Libero
Liberos are an exclusive defensive position
They cannot start in a set
They cannot be subbed for a player about to serve
They have to wear contrasting colors compared with the rest of the team
Liberos cannot be the captain |
