Welcome, a new way to bring in and flush out officers for the RIC. Table Of Contents: What is SOAR? Time to SOAR Requirements BOCAST - Basic Office Combative and Strategic Training OCART - Officer Co-Operation And Reaction Training LACET - Leadership And Competitive Effort Training |===========|WHAT IS SOAR?|===========| SOAR is a campaign that will happen once every two months (or at a date that has been confirmed a week in advance by a HR) Strict Officer Assessments & Re-Assessments is a program that will punish those who are not worthy of their rank and will reward those who are ready for the next step. |===========|TIME TO SOAR|===========| Here's how it works. A High Rank announces a shout that sticks for a whole week stating when the SOAR will take place (time and all). If you are not able to make that specific time, you are required to make a lengthy message to the HR stating why you will not be attending the SOAR due to X. Not doing this will result in the removal of officer status. Here is the order of SOAR Trainings BOCAST - Basic Officer Combative And Strategic Training OCART - Officer Co-ordination And Situation Reaction Training LACET - Leadership And Competitive Effort Training These will all happen in a once-a-day sequence, so this will be a three day process. |===========|REQUIREMENTS|===========| 2LTs will have to attend at least one to keep their rank or be promoted. 1LTs and CPTs will have to attend at least two to keep their rank or be promoted. MAJs will have to attend all three SOARs to keep their rank. |===========|BOCAST|===========| As an officer, you must be a role-model for low ranks! Being a lousy fighter isn't going to be something we want our soldiers to look upon. Or look down upon, because you were such a lousy fighter you are now six feet under. Good riddance. You should be good at the following: 1v1 SF, Team SF, 1v1 GUN, Team GUN, OBBY, and Holding / (These skills will be tested.) |===========|OCART|===========| As an officer, things you hear shouldn't pass out the other ear. Being an uncooperative GI is going to hurt your reputation as an officer. Being stupid is only going to give those PVTs all the more reason to ignore you and rebel. Unless you're in the MP Div. You should be able to: Co-operate with other Officers Co-ordinate with other Officers Work as a team with other Officers |===========|LACET|===========| As an officer, you should know by now that you didn't join RIC to become a First Lieutenant. You dreamed of titles such as Colonel, General, Chief of Staff, or Commander. A map set in Medieval times will fit you as the King and the only way you will siege/defend the Fortress is if you use your Righteous Leadership Skills. You should be able to: Be a leader Compromise Never Give Up *Dream Big *Seriously
