Rica Selva Social Debate No. 1
The Prohibition Stance
What is LSWeed?
- As many of us have heard in recent news, a new designer substance known commonly as "LSWeed" has become increasingly popular on the streets of San Adalia. Currently the narcotic is able to be sold without any restrictions upon it. Although this narcotic is made up of legal ingredients, we are still unaware of the long term side effects. LSWeed is not just your average narcotic, it is a psychedelic narcotic. This recreational substance is yet to be tested in a laboratory, so the effects of it remain unknown. The narcotic its self offers the average human the ability to run much faster than normal and jump to abnormally high heights. You may still be wondering as to why it may pose a risk to your health though.
Possible Health Implications
- Well it is simple. From a health related perspective, we must remember that LSWeed is is a designer substance. Now designer substances have been made up of legal ingredients, not illegal ingredients you may find in average psychedelic substances. The only issues with this is that when legal ingredients are used, the substance can often deliver a much stronger punch than the illegal narcotic that it is mimicking. As the illegal substance is in fact weaker, we must remember why it was made illegal in the very first place. The increasing danger with LSWeed is the fact that it has much stronger effects. Again, most illegal substances are banned because of health risks, and in this case, the fact that is is so much stronger raises that question of possible dangers. Already, it has been said that taking the narcotic can leave the unlucky consumer with severe headaches and dizziness. These are just some of the side effects coming to light in recent days.
Contributions to Crime
- Health implications aside, LSWeed is interfering with the law. It is clear that LSWeed is being sold frequently in San Adalia, and dealers are making handsome profits from the narcotic. Like most substances they can become addictive, and therefore we see dealers becoming more and more successful in their bid to feed the addictions of individuals in need of help. The police force has also seen a rise in crime since the substance has been dispensed. The popularity of LSWeed is rising at a rapid pace, and the tension between gangs in our cities are building. In recent days there have been reports of violence over the distribution and sale of the narcotic on the streets of San Adalia. San Adalia is already rife with the endless reports of violence, corruption and gun crime. The sale of LSWeed is not only harming people's livelihoods, but in fact harming innocents around them.
Conclusion
- After having thought long and hard about this matter, the negatives of such overrule the substance for being legal. It has a worryingly high chance of harming anyone who takes the narcotic, and in a sense of crime, contributes to much of the already severe violence on the streets. Yes, it may may deliver a marvellous feeling, but in truth is could be feeding an underlying addiction as it kills you from the inside. That is why I am personally looking to form a coalition to prohibit the sale, ownership and use of LSWeed in Rica Selva. The risks to yourself and others are far too great to ignore. The Prohibition Coalition is in need of public support from activists and businesses across Rica Selva. It's time to take a stand for our general health.
