Greetings Trooper! You reading this forum, must mean you have been accepted into the RSP! Before you become a Basic Trooper Training Certified Trooper (BTT Cert. Trooper for short), you need to go through the Inaugural Academy. Whats the Inaugural Academy? Well it is basically 3 sessions that you must complete before becoming part of the RSP Administration! Here are the sessions and the criteria taught in them.
Session 1 (Approximately 3 hours)
• Introduction.
• Handbook Overview.
• Radio Communication.
• Miranda Rights and Waiver.
• Criminal Justice System.
• Frisk and Search.
• Tickets, Citations, and Warnings.
Session 2 (Approximately 3 hours)
• Arrest Procedure.
• Firearms and Equipment.
• Defense Tactics.
• Breach and Clear.
Session 3 (Approximately 3 hours)
• Felony Stop.
• Traffic Stop.
• Felony/High Risk Stop.
• Pursuit Policy.
• Pursuit Simulation.
