PART 2: ADVANCED
6. Explain the purpose of the Rangers (3 sentences minimum) (10pts)
: They go and do what non-rangers can't.
7. There's a hostage situation. The insurgents are outnumbered 10 to 1, but many innocent lives are at stake. In the case that negotiations are on the table, what do you do? (2 sentence minimum) (10pts)
: negotiate them and tell them to talk face to face, fast type to get the hostages out, and blow it up.
8. There's a different hostage situation. Negotiations just blew off the table as a hostage was shot by a panicking insurgent. You and 3 other men are sent in, you being the fireteam leader. There are 2 entrances. Back door of the house, front door of the house. The hostages are at the back, but we have confirmed intelligence that the insurgents would have the upper hand in terms of cover through that entrance. The front door would take more time to extract the hostage from, but would be easier to assault. Which path do you take and why?
