Implying this is the only league who handles tragedy well.
After the Boston Marathon bombing, the bruins had a game which the regular anthem singer cut out in the beginning of the anthem and the crowd sung it. Also all around the league teams played dirty water as a tribute to boston. |

anthem singers do this regularly across all sports just because
the portland timbers do it every game
