Before we get into this thread, i would like to thank my friend and the Commissioner of NRBA, Patriots for allowing me and fully supporting me in doing this. There has been a lot of tries at doing this throughout the league, but I feel like this is the one that will stick and will run for the many years to come. A little about me is that i came into the league in season 9. I have won 2 National Blue Steels, and an MVP. The league is running strong with Obbert at commissioner.
So lets get down to it. What is NRBA Media? NRBA Media is basically just what you see on TV or on the internet. We break down rankings, analysis players and teams, and much more creative things. NRBA Media is non-biased thread because it's run by players like myself, in NRBA. Our consistency is top-notch and updated weekly.
Who will be the Reporters? Well we are still accepting Analysts, so if you would like to be one PM ClutchK. The people that I will select will be respected, mature, and a non-biased player. So lets get right down to it. Good luck to everyone in season 15! |

Player Power rankings [12/18/16]
Hello I am ineffable305, Assistant Director of NRBA network and team owner of the Washington Nationals. As we unwind in the offseason preparing for season 15 we look at the top 20 players in NRBA.
1) Patriots017
2) Jeffgordon2488
3) Camarena15
4) Hancock3
5) Ivoltus
6) OvoGokuXVI
7) Leo0816
8) Clutchk
9) Nil11
10) Steven822
11) Rocketman39
12) HPC3
13) Seanjones10
14) Nmdd_CSGOAT
15) Tyler822
16) Vito3000
17) Famousnick12
18) MikeMyersucf
19) NinjaObie
20) Ismogen
Players on the rise
Famousnick12- Very underrated outfielder who seems to show big progression as a hitter as shown in the playoffs last season. Expect the veteran to put up relatively scorching numbers this season for the Pirates.
Rocketman39- consistently one of the best hitters in the game every season will make a big jump as he looks to see his numbers inflate from playing at the 718 which is very hitter friendly. His stock will be sure to rise as can we assume his role all around on the playing field will be high on QNS and impact the team in a positive effect.
Clutchk- Remember when we were in our seats at the NRBA plaza in S11 rooting the MVP as he took stage to accept his award? The feeling of that moment seems to fade away from the community. I believe we have ALL forgotten how good the former MVP is, solid numbers every season but simply unlucky as far as putting up the MVP numbers. Elite players are due up to put up ELITE NUMBERS.
Players on the decline
OvoGokuXVI- Record breaking season on the mound for a record breaking team yet he's on the decline? Yes, improving off a 1.37 ERA and 8 win season is just simply realistic. Expect the reigning Cy Young to put up great numbers but there is just no way the NBS MVP will match that magical season.
MikeMyersucf- Great career, great player on and off the field. Do not know what to make of the big drop in the Hall of Famer's numbers last season. Unfortunately, this seems to possibly be a trend instead of a fluke if you look at the fact that his biggest peak was in S13.
Players to watch this season
Cheezusisagod- A "robot" that plays 7 games at the 718? stat fiesta for the sophmore player. Great plate discipline and has displayed his ability to hit the ball well in all directions. Will the side league star turn critics' heads with a strong campaign to deem himself as a proven player in this prestigious league?
EliteJayy- few people such as myself have been waiting endlessly for the gold glover to spring out into MVP form. Inactivity has been the main reason for the long wait. When in the zone he is a phenom not to reckon with; one of the best fielders and hitters in the league once he get's hot. Now the only speculation is will he play play enough in the regular season to give himself the opportunity to join the MVP hall?

Every team wants to win. It’s no secret. With that said, not everybody can win without any problems in any time, including signings. I'm Skraxx, and here we will highlight the needs that each team needs, and how possibly to fix it.
Winnipeg Chiefs - Defense
This team seems to have something bright ahead of themselves, and a team that may reflect that. With players like HPC, this team sure does have power. That’s the least of the needs they need to address. Pitching won’t seem to be a problem, since they have multiple players that are either capable or more than capable of pitching in their division. So, what do they need? Great defensive players. The only true outfielder here seems to be HPC, but he isn’t quite a gold glove candidate as of late. Everyone else, is not really that great at the outfield, except for a select few (you may decide who that may be).
Cleveland Indians - New Faces/New Blood
Cleveland every season manages to do well, but that doesn’t mean this season will be the same. By now, many teams would know the team’s strategy, their strengths and weaknesses, and overall, people should recognize the team. Sure they are all great players, but people know who they are, and know how to stop them. They simply need new faces and new blood to confuse the other teams again, and struggle taking a new stance. But at the moment, their only new face is rookie BillyBulger.
Chicago White Sox - PURE Home Run hitters
This team has it all, well except for what is in the title. You have a great ace in Han, and other great options. You have wonderful fielders like steven, no doubt about it. When it comes to hitting however, they only have really one pure home run hitter in han. Sure, steven hit 7, but based on how steven usually plays, he seems to be more of a premium base hitter rather than hancock who gives power. The problem really I’m trying to highlight is that the team needs MORE pure power-hitters, as only one player hitting many HRs won’t get them far. I wouldn’t be surprised if I am wrong in the season however, they really have something big coming up in the season.
Hawaii Raptors - Offense
(yes this is my team, but I still see a weakness) The outfield seems to be fine with budding star Pyro, the writer right now, and Dave or other players, so that’s not a problem. Xakic will be a great ace for the raptors, pitching the most innings for LA last season. However this DEFINITELY lacks in HR hitters. Not one of the players have hit more than five home runs last year, and that will be a problem. If Xakic wants to succeed this season, they need a pure home run hitter, like I described with the White Sox.
Beaverton Panthers - Pitchers not named Cow
Yeah it’s hard for out of all the players that not one person would fill any need. Offensive there are multiple names, and also with the defense. Pitching however, only seems to be cow. With my brief stint with this team for scrims, Cow seemed to be the only person pitching (well). So it’s simple, Beaverton just needs players who can pitch, you can’t have Cow pitch the whole season. It’s not even allowed.
Pittsburgh Pirates - Base Hitters
Pittsburgh looks great, and have actually filled all the needs that other teams haven’t addressed. However, last season only two players on the team have hit over .400, with those players being ClutchK and Redrocker. If you want more than a solo jack coming from maybe Smogen (hit 9 HRs), you need people on base. If Pittsburgh could at least get a 3rd hitter who consistently hits over .400, who knows how powerful this team can become.
Washington Nationals - Pure Pitchers
This team sure looks destined for greatness, definitely a team to look out for. However what this team lacks is pure pitchers, they lack pitchers who fully dedicate to winning the game through pitching. Most of their possible pitchers are mainly outfielders, power-hitters, but not aces. Jeff looks to be their ace, but his skill comes more from hitting and playing the OF, not really pitching. Once they find a pure pitcher to rely on, Washington sure does seem to be a NBS bound team.
Queens Bombers - Veterans/Experience
Unlike Cleveland, this team is full of new blood, new faces, and possible budding stars. With too many veterans, the team could become too predictable. But with not enough veterans, the team looks unexperienced and a struggle. With the perfect balance of new blood and veterans, you have experience but also a dose of unpredictability. Hopefully, QNS knows to hire more veterans, and make this team a great one. |

Power Rankings / Predictions
Patriots017, Commissioner here and player for the White Sox. This is an offseason predictions for S15. I will be predicting records and why and award winners.
ROBLOX LEAGUE:
Chicago White Sox (12-2)
The White Sox excel in every position needed to win a championship. They have excellent pitching in reigning Cy Young winner Han and a well known ace in SeanJones. They have the out field to back up these pitchers with ClutchK, Patriots, and Steven. Last, they have the hitting, with some of the best hitters in the league. Expect Patriots, ClutchK, Han, Steven, and Nmd to perform well, as they always do. Key for Chicago is for their role players to step up. Cara, Hardys, and 626 need to contribute and there's nothing stopping Chicago.
Cleveland Indians (9-5)
Cleveland is the same Cleveland we see every season. They have their core in Harv, Mike, Mands, Vito, and Tristan. They're all great players, but they've never really reached the peak needed to make a deep playoff run. I expect another ace season from Vito and great fielding by Mike and Mands with the LF/CF combo. I'm concerned about the lack of their second pitcher and the lack of hitting. None of the players on the roster right now are known for their hitting. Expect this to change though, Cleveland always makes noise with what they have.
Winnipeg Chiefs (6-8)
This is basically the same Winnipeg we've seen in prior seasons that choked, miss the playoffs, made silly errors, and are jokes of themselves. Winnipeg really has no stars and they are signing rather below average players. They have a joke at co owner (pwnzerkid) and are wasting a lot of spots on silly signings. On the plus side, I expect HPC and Galaxy to carry the team probably. I like Chauncxy and Candycane in providing from the role player spot.
Hawaii Raptors (5-9)
Hawaii is led by a rookie owner, Xakic. They have an okay roster, but I don't think it is enough to compete. They have no top notch pitcher. Xakic is the only pitcher on the roster, which isn't enough to compete with their division. There is no top fielders either on this team. There is also no stand out hitters on Hawaii. With this combination, it's going to be really difficult to win ball games. I have them winning around 5 games due to signings of Skraxx, Dave, and Xakic himself is a decent player.
UNITED LEAGUE:
Washington Nationals (12-2)
Washington is basically Philadelphia with great additions, but there's also things they lost from Philadelphia. Let's start off with the positive. They have a great fielding core consisting of Camarena15, EliteJayy, Jeff, Kingstan, and Nil. Their hitting is also outstanding with the likes of Leo, Jeff, Elite, Cam, Kingstan, etc. Now, what they lost from Philadelphia is the pitching. Philadelphia had the two best pitchers in the league, iVoltus and Goku (who are both still free agents at the time this is being posted). Their pitching is pretty suspect, consisting of a staff of Kingstan and Jeff. Don't get me wrong, Jeff is a great and top pitcher, but that second pitcher COULD be a problem.
Pittsburgh Pirates (8-6)
Famousnick and co are back together for a second straight season following an embarrassing sweep from the Boston Red Sox in the RLCS. Suspensions will hurt this team because they can't stay clean. They have a decent pitcher in iColeAgent, but where's that second pitcher? Their fielding won't be awful with Famousnick and iSmogen in the outfield. The best part of this team is their hitters. iSmogen and Redrocker are coming off great seasons at the plate and expect them to repeat what they did last season.
Queens Bombers (7-7)
I was really stuck on who I should put at the second seed, between PIT and QNS. Queens has a decent lineup at the plate consisting of Rocket and Matt who have good track record for getting on base. Their fielding is pretty good with Multiversal and Matt in the out field. They really need to go after free agent pitchers though. There are two good ones still on the market, Goku and Voltus. They lack a top pitcher. CashAmbitious is the only pitcher I see on the roster. If they don't get a top one, I'm guessing Rocket would be the second pitcher. You can't win games if you only have one pitcher with an average out field.
Beaverton Panthers (5-9)
Beaverton, Beaverton, Beaverton... Where do I even start? I had high hopes for this team when I did the team announcements, but they shocked me with the team management. Before 24 hours of signing, they already had a full roster. On that full roster of 18/18, I only saw 3 above average players and even that is a stretch. Beaverton really needs to get rid of the players that will hold them down. They have a decent out field consisting of Cow, Rated, and maybe Tonc. Their pitching looks suspect and their hitting does not look much better. Can they fight it out for the third seed?
POWER RANKINGS
1. CWS
2. WSH
3. CLE
4. PIT
5. QNS
6. WPG
7. BVN
8. HAW
Award Watch:
MVP: Patriots, Han, Rocket, Jeff
RL Cy Young: Han, Sean
UL Cy Young: Jeff
(The two best pitchers haven't signed anywhere, wherever Goku and Volt sign they will automatically be in the Cy Young Watch).
RL Gold Glove: Patriots, Clutch, Mike
UL Gold Glove: Cam, Elite, Cow, Famous, Jeff
RL Silver Slugger: Patriots, Han, Clutch, Anime
UL Silver Slugger: Cam, Jeff, Leo, Obbert
Manager of the Year: Han
Comeback Player of the Year: Famousnick12
Rookie of the Year: KaughtLookin
Hank Aaron: Han
Batting Title: Rocket
Note: This forum was posted early, signings aren't finished and anything can happen. I did this solely off the rosters and prior seasons. Yes, upsets can happen and yes, players can improve or drop off. Don't like it? Prove me wrong and use this as motivation. |

After the Chicago White Sox cruised past the Washington Nationals in a scrimmage 11-1, the Nationals don’t seem to be phased by it at all. Their lineup consisted of mobile players and substitutes who are not on the season 15 roster. “Yeah, the score obviously came from having too much fun with mobile players and subs in and out every second. I’ve been around in this league for a long time, there won’t be an 11-1 score. There might not even be a W column for them [White Sox] when we face them; we have in my mind the best roster in the league so you never know” was the statement emphasised by the Nats skipper. “Yeah we were fooling around we knew we were getting our *** kicked when you bat and field 2 mobile players and subs who weren’t even good enough to make our team” says the former MVP and co owner of the Washington Nationals [Camarena15]. Although it’s easy to speculate that of course this performance by the Nationals was a hilarious fluke, one player on CWS finds WSH weak and not an NBS caliber tea “Washmyassington” says the winless hopeful cy young dreamer [Seanjones10] “This team isn’t even close to as good as Philly. Patriots0017 added after the win “WSH isn't as good as PHI while CWS is better than BOS. This ain't even a rivalry. We're the Patriots they're the Browns.” while taunting the reigning NBS champion ineffable 305. Truly most people disagree with this considering WSH’s only true loss from last season PHI was Hall of Famer Ivoltus but have key adds in Tyler822, Nil11, Kingstan8321, and Elitejayy while this isn’t including the fact that they are still front runners to land the cy young free agent OvoGokuXVI. As I asked the reigning MVP if he’s phased by Seanjones10’s words or CWS at all, he said “That’s a clown question bro.” Does this sound like a spark of a new rivalry?

Hello, I am Hancock3, Intern of NRBA network and team owner of the Chicago White Sox. In this article, I will address the embaressment that Beaverton's management is and how it has been so far this offseason.
Now, I have known Coward and Tonc for some seasons now. Coward has never gone his way to go off on someone or be annoying to others. Tonc on the other hand, he could be quite annoying for some people but he's nice other times. Now I am addressing this because due to the fact Coward was on a NBS team which he didn't even do much for the squad in the NBS, he has lately used this to his advantage to being cocky and with this @ his ownership, it now looks like he's going insane as an owner. Why am I saying this? Heres why! He has not been known like this until this offseason, we wouldn't be seeing coward or any owner take players (which teams like Hawaii could use considering they don't have much players) just to bench them and only start them if they "do good" at practice which is absolutely absurd. Before this leads me to my next point, he uses these players for waste while NRBA is trying to have all teams have players but with all these players on Beaverton when they could possibly be wanted from Xakic or any other team owner with trouble just to stay on the bench. What coward thinks is that it is fair and that these bench players want to come for moral support! OH HELL NO THEY DON'T, WE BEEN ON ROBLOX LONG ENOUGH TO KNOW NOBODY CARES BOUT MORAL SUPPORT IF THEY DON'T GET TO PLAY.
This now goes to my other point of what ###### me off about this Beaverton management. Tonc accidently leaked the rules for BVN players which was supposed to be only to themselves and these rules are absolutely absurd. Before I read some examples of the rules, here are the rules: https://forum.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=204772317. Now, Rule #1 is the most absurd and dumbest rule I have ever read for a team and it's a joke to those who are helping NRBA become a bigger league (such as the ################################ "WE PRACTICE BEFORE EACH GAME (1-2 HOURS BEFORE)", how dare you post this joke of a rule as a rule. No person wants to spend 1-2 hours PRACTICING FOR A LUCK BASED HITTING CONTACT GAME. It's based on the other team's tendencies and how to prevent those tendencies. Not based on taking 100 BP's before game, I understand like 10 minutes of BP but 1-2 hours? Pathetic, the 2nd rule anyone can understand honestly so I am not going to bash that. "3. IF WE WIN, DONT GO CELEBRATING. SIMPLY WALK OVER TO AWAY/HOME DUGOUT AND SAY GOOD GAME TO THEM, THEN REPORT BACK TO OUR DUGOUT.
4. IF WE LOSE, DONT JUST LEAVE. GO OVER TO THE OTHER DUGOUT AND SAY GOOD GAME, AND THEN WE WILL HAVE A TEAM VOTE IF WE WOULD LIKE TO PRACTICE WHAT WE DID BAD. " Wow, I just lost and I am going to go to the other dugout and tell them, Good Game My Friends! No I won't, who do you think I am, if I lose, I'm leaving the server that simple and that goes for most of NRBA. Also if you do win? Not like that's much of an option for Beaverton but outside of that, if I win, I will say GG in the mist of trashing them and bashing them, that simple. Also to rule #5, they state they have 4 lock ons, so if 1 player who is a lock on does worse than someone who is on the "Practice Squad" and they stay locked, how is that any fair and gives any chances to any player on the team? Rule #6 is they play 8 players in the lineup, ok cut half of the team instead of hoarding them if you're just not gonna let them play when you signed like 15-18 players in 1 day giving Hawaii or some team who is expected to have some issues due to poor amount of players on the squad, 0 time to sign people. "WE WILL MAKE CUTS/BENCH YOU DURING GAMES IF YOU ARE NOT CARING OR TRYING. IF YOU GUYS GIVE 100% EFFORT AND WE LOSE, DONT GO WHINING. WE WILL CUT U FOR THAT ALSO. " Rule #7, I am pretty sure by the mid-season, all the bench players will purposely get cut to sign with Hawaii because of your trash management looking like Fifth Harmony's management. Rule #8, HAVE FUN! Horrible, just horrible, how can you say have fun with these trash rules and abuse of power to these players.
Now, I hope most of NRBA reads this and learns how much Cow and Tonc are abusing their powers from Beaverton's Management. Coward and Tonc, you better step up your game as managers or else, you both got targets on your back. |

YollisJoin Date: 2012-08-29 Post Count: 240 |
Hello, I am Yollis, former NRBA Player & Hall of Famer. I will talk about why teams such as the Beaverton Panthers and Hawaii Raptors should not be slept on.
Looking at the NRBA wall recently, there's been a lot of hate/down-talk on teams such as BVN and Hawaii. I know that in my predictions, I said that BVN & Hawaii wouldn't have good records, but looking at their roster and looking at NRBA in the past seasons, I wanna erase what I said. So why shouldn't players sleep on these teams? I'll start off by giving an example of a team that did not have players that people considered as allstars or superstars, which was WPG in S9 (Correct me if I am wrong). This team in the S9 Playoffs was able to complete the sweep against SDD, which had players such as Camarena, DeshaunRayban, iShortstop, and even myself. Now although people could said inactivity was a thing for this team during the playoffs, that doesn't excuse the fact that they never won game. They did end up losing the next round, but they were able to knock the best team of that season out of the playoffs. BVN in S11 were able to win 5 straight games, going 5-0 before losing pretty much every game in the season, but only because they traded a key player to their roster. I can't say too much about Hawaii being that this is Xakic's first season owning in NRBA, but that doesn't mean he will disappoint. What people don't know is that having 2 or more players that can play like allstars on a team can do a lot of damage, no matter if the supporting cast around them aren't people who can produce much.
In other words, don't let a team that doesn't have popular players or players who didn't play well in a season get you going, because every season is a new season, and new players are always gonna be on the come up.

this is one of the seasons where i have a 3.5 ERA but my record would be 0-3 |

I know I got carried by PHI in the NBS. I didn't want to even play with PHI. I liked LAD more than PHI because I knew PHI was way better than me on a consistent basis and I would just be in the way. So yeah I'm still not good enough yet to play in the NBS |

NRBA – History/Talent Level Changed?
Hi this is SeanJones10 from NRBA Media, and today I am going to examine if the talent has changed from Seasons 12-14, and whether it is a dramatic change or a slight change.
In Season 12, we had the Tampa Bay Rays, owned by iVoltus, as our Bluesteel Champions. The Rays consisted of many good players, such as Patriots017, Kingstan8321, Yolli, and Obbert. In the playoffs, Tampa Bay made quick work of the Saint Louis Falcons in the 1st round, and eased into the Bluesteel as they trumped the Rangers in a 3-1 series. In the Bluesteel, the Tampa Bay Rays faced the Cleveland Indians, the hopes that the Indians could possibly for once bring home a title for Mike were shattered as the Rays beat the Indians in a 4-1 series victory. In the awards, Patriots and Yolli took home the Hank Aaron award, Rocketman39 won the Batting Title, Hancock3 and OVOGokuXVI won the Cy Young’s, ChefB won ROTY, and NMD won Comeback POTY. Now diving into stats, teams totaled 3713 ABs, 1273 hits, and 255 HRs. This means teams averaged 371 ABs, 127 hits, a .342 BA, and 25.5 HRs per team. Pitching wise, teams totaled approximately 811 innings pitched, 713 earned runs, and 220 ### This means teams on average pitched 81 innings, 71 earned runs, 22 Ks, ###h a team average ERA of 5.26 ERA.
In Season 13, we had the Miami Marlins, owned by MudCat8 and Hancock3, as our Bluesteel Champions. The Marlins consisted of many good players, such as ClutchK, Obbert, and NYShad. In the playoffs, Miami made quick work of their 1st round opponent, the Brewers owned by The_6God(and many others), as Miami headed to face Montreal in the 2nd round, who had just overcame Baltimore to advance in a 3-2 series. Miami lost the first 2 games of the series, both at home, being outscored 22-10 in those games. Going on the road in games 3 and 4, Miami stole Game 3, forcing a Game 5 as they lost Game 4 6-5. Games 5-7 were history, as Miami came back from a 3-1 deficit winning Game 5 5-2, Game 6 4-3, and Game 7 8-3. Miami took the Bluesteel over the talented Arizona Diamondbacks in a 4-1 series. Diving into the stats, teams averaged 349 at bats, 132 hits, with a batting average of .378, with an average of 22.3 HRs per team. Pitching wise, teams pitched a total of 761 innings, meaning teams pitched an average of 76.1 innings. Teams allowed a total of 777 earned runs, meaning teams on average allowed 77.7 (~78) earned runs. Teams also had a total of 261 pitching Ks, ###raging out to 26.1 Ks t##ms had pitching wise.Teams averaged a 6.16 ERA, almost 6 runs per game.
In the past season, we had the Philadelphia Phillies, owned by OVOGokuXVI, as our Bluesteel Champions. The Phillies consisted of many talented players, such as Camarena15, JeffGordon2488. and Leo0816. They also made a splash just before playoffs started, acquiring iVoltus from the Cleveland Indians. The Phillies defeated the Boston Red Sox in the Bluesteel Championship, in a 4-2 series. Leo0816 and JeffGordon2488 both won the Hank Aaron Award, Patriots017 won the Batting Title, TheSkraxx won ROTY, RL Cy Young was awarded to Hancock3, UL Cy Young was awarded to OVOGokuXVI, and the MVP was won by JeffGordon2488. Now, going into Season 14, all of the teams in NRBA averaged 89 RBIs per team, while each team averaged 24 HRs. Teams averaged 338 at bats, 138 hits, having a batting average of .408. Pitching wise, 737 innings were pitched, meaning each team total pitchers pitched 73.7 innings. All of the teams allowed a total of 884 earned runs, averaging to 88.4 runs per team. Teams totaled 248 pitching Ks, ###raging 24.8(~25) Ks p## team. The average teams ERA was a 7.2 ERA, almost 7 runs per game.
Has talent increased or decreased? That is the real question. It is very tough to tell. Pitching has clearly gone down as the average has grown approximately 2 whole points. With that being said, pitching ## have balanced really since Season 13, after a big increase in ## from Season 12 to Season 13. Innings pitched has gone down since Season 12, indicating games are much quicker, seeing a 74 innings pitched decrease from Seasons 12-14. Earned runs have spiked since Season 12-14 as it grew 171 runs. Batting wise, the average for a teams batting average growing from Season 12-14 by .066. Home runs have grew a couple of HRs after a slight decrease from Season 12-13. Teams have also averaged less at bats since the decrease from Seasons 12-14 by 33 at bats. Hits have grown by 11 since Seasons 12-14. Looking at these stats, I believe batting talent has increased since Season 12, while pitching has decreased. Your thoughts? |
