To be fair stache man did OK with Germany |

france before waterloo. they literally owned all of europe, but, after that they never achieved a decisive military victory without foreign aid
prussia had a nearly flawless military record (except losing to napoleon in 17 days)
and Russia has been an absolute monster since their dawn. from alexander nevsky defending Novgorod from the teutons, to russia defeating the ottomans, persians, and polish-lithuanians several times, to WW2 and cold war. |

well before germany was germany they were prussia which united germany militarily and diplomatically so germany was pretty good |

they were never a major party in a war that ended as a decisive victory for them |

russia and china have so much experience in warfare it tops most of the world combined |

Also Russia got BTFO by every country on this list bar canada so if they HAVE to replace anyone without another state like the Ottomans or Israel or Mongolia(lets be honest mongolia = finland) taking the place they would replace canada

China had a VERY powerful military during certain earlier periods but they were limited by political instability on many occasions.

so finland winning one war in the midst of a civil revolution in russia quantify it as among the greatest armies in history? lol
canada doesn't have a strong military at all, especially historically. elite and small, maybe, but definitely nowhere near those of major countries. i live in canada too |

the soviets gained plenty of territory, although their success was definitely phyrric |

The quality of Finlands army in that time is nearly unmatched from any army ever IMO
too bad they didn't have a few million more farmers like russia did lol
