I'm Matthew_Castellan. I have decided to run for the Washington D.C. City Council. Since D.C. has been inactive for quite some time, it needs good leadership in its rebirth phase. This is why I am here. I wish to help the District of Columbia as it comes back to life.
Since day one in the United States, I have always been a fighter for our citizens. This being said, I do not think power should fall to the government and elites, and that working-class and unemployed Americans should have a say in our democracy. In the office of a councilman, I will make the citizens’ voice my primary purpose. Daily I will be going out and asking citizens for their input on bills and plans for Washington D.C.. To my furthest of powers I will make sure the citizens of this amazing country have a voice.
Though the city council does not have a say over the military, I will be doing my best to help the military and their needs at the city of Washington D.C.. As a senior leader in the military, I do know that of course, the military does not need to be equipped such as an agency, or even for the most part have a team there.
As a councilman, I will be completely transparent. A lot of the time, the people of the United States are completely unaware of what is going on behind closed doors. If I have the opportunity of being elected, I will be publishing a database where you will be allowed to see every single one of my votes on bills, and the reasoning behind my vote on the bills. This way, you will be able to know exactly what I am doing in the city council.
Most of my bills, as I said, will be ideas from citizens. Although, I do have a few ideas off the bat. First of all, we need to add a car dealership. Right now all the citizens of D.C. have are “Christmas motorcycles,” which are there all year around. Along with a car dealership, we also need a gun dealership. Right now citizens and criminals alike are relying on illegal dealers to get guns. If we could get some legal gun dealerships like Las Vegas, it would be simply amazing. I also plan to add a small mini-map in the corner of the screen. This way, new and returning players alike will be able to navigate around Washington D.C. much easier. Going back to cars, I also want to have a car modification garage. Unlike Las Vegas, you will be able to do more than just spray paint. You will be able to change your wheels and rims, tint your windows, add decals like flames to the sides, and much more. Another thing I wish to do as soon as possible is add a Veteran Affairs center for the DVA. This way they can recruit, talk to veterans at D.C., and much more. Keep in mind, these are not all my plans.
Although politically I do not have much experience, I do have other experiences. For over two years, I have been a leader in our military. I was the Vice Chief of Staff of the Army and the Sergeant Major of the Army (E9-SEA), a Brigadier General (O7) in the Marine Corps, a General (O10) in the Air Force, and an Admiral (O10) and the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (E9-SEA) in the Navy. Currently I hold the position of SEA to the CJCS, or SEAC. I am currently also the U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Hawaii, and formerly Italy. Along with this, I have also served in almost every single federal agency, domestic and foreign.
