Hey everybody, I've decided to throw my hat into the race for D.C. City Council (DCCC)!
I started my career in this nation by coming onboard as your Secretary of Defence back in May, where I stabilised the then-failing military and Defence Department and set in place the foundations that have allowed it to rebound. I then moved into the U.S. Senate where I passed several resolutions aimed at increasing our accountability as public officials to you, the American people. I was brought on to run SuddenRush12G's re-election campaign, and following TerenceWalsh's rigging scandal, I was tapped by our President to be his running mate.
As Vice President, we worked tirelessly to hit the ground running for a second term, and truly performed. Unfortunately, frictions emerged between me and my now-friends in Congress, and I was sadly placed under impeachment. I've since apologised to them –– and more importantly all of you –– and have been unbarred; they've placed their trust in me to once again serve our nation admirably.
I've been running TheySinned's campaign for president, the only campaign offering real solutions to staggering employment, a waning foreign policy, and more. We're the first frontrunner campaign from outside the inner-circle, and I know Devon can't wait to get to work if you elect him this winter (you should).
I'm running for councillor of the city council because I've always been an advocate for Washington, D.C. Back in the summer, I was always pushing for a new version to be released and used by both our government and citizenry –– after all, what is a country without a functioning and active capital city? I've also always preferred the more direct and "grassroots" positions to those of high office. Those who work at the level of the city council affect the lives of you, the citizens, most. Thus is it crucial that those elected are honorable, proficient, and intelligent.
Enough about me: you're electing a council, so here's some of what I'd do if given this honor:
1. Encourage government to govern and host activities at D.C. once more. We should be using our capital to govern more, not just third party places or skype/discord!
2. Initiate a commission to create roleplaying jobs at D.C. –– things like firefighters, taxi drivers, etc. I'm very good friends with many successful car dealerships as well –– companies like BMW, for example –– and would bring them into Washington.
3. Work with developers and the federal government to bring private businesses to Washington so our economy boosts and more people visit it.
4. Author a bill that would create a place where citizens can send in complaints or ideas to their Congressmen and other federal officials about the country or their performance as public ######### As the capital, it will always be government-centric, so all of you should be weaved in together with that.
5. Put in casinos just like at Las Vegas, along with customizable homes, tools like caffeine for running, etc.
6. Keep a publicly viewable record of my votes, bills, and more. Transparency would be a key goal of mine if elected.
7. Remain in contact with all of you, and host twitter polls for all of my ideas and or bills so that nothing you don't want gets my stamp of approval.
These are just some of the things I'd do if elected. The truth is, you want active and smart individuals with a goal of instituting as much direct, positive change on your D.C. experience as possible. I'll be that guy.
