We already have all of this amazing R15 things, like the animations, scaling, and even more to come! One of those soon to come features could be making certain parts of limbs what ever color you want! This would also be nice for people that just created an account, and they can't afford to buy shirts. They would be able to do this feature to make "custom" shirts! It would look like this when you switch to R15 (Yes I know the image is being approved right now):

Then if you end up switching to R6, then it would just look like what it does right now!
