Assuming you came from my previous thread and you want to learn how to create custom cursors, this guide will cover how to create custom cursors and programs you can use.
[PROGRAMS YOU CAN USE]
You can use almost any photo editor/drawing program such as Photoshop, ##### Krita but one that I recommend which is really easy to use is paint(dot)net. It's free and you can download it from getpaint(dot)net. With some quick learning you will easily be able to use all the tools and start creating custom cursors.
[HOW TO CREATE CUSTOM CURSORS]
The easiest way to start creating custom cursors is to edit the default GunCursor which is located in the texture files. Once you've downloaded a photo editing/drawing program you can right click on the GunCursor picture (in the textures folder) and click Edit. It may ask which program you want to edit that file with and you have to chose your photo editing/drawing program. Once you've done that it should open the default GunCursor in your photo editing/drawing program. First thing you'll notice is that it's very small so you need to zoom in, then all you need to do is mark the center point and start designing. Once done save it to your desktop as GunCursor. Now you have your custom cursor! |
