It isn't a necessity, obviously - but there is an elitist ideal that is very popular that unless you look good, you aren't a serious player and you shouldn't be taken as such. I have been blocked from playing and participating in games because I looked like a "noob". I'm not joking.

I already answered why I can't afford $5.95. If you look in the original post, I also say that I understand that Roblox needs to make money, but it has other ways of doing so.

tl;dr: Roblox has a social hierarchy that you pretty much have to buy your way into. Give NBC players more features so this hierarchy doesn't exist (or at least not as strongly). Pay your workers in other ways.
Please stop pointing out the "how can you not pay six dollars" thing. I already explained that as it's a luxury, it's kept out of our budget and we can't afford anything more than necessity. |

I'm sorry, I didn't know I had to win what is basically a lottery in order to get clothes and robux? The event hats aren't taken seriously, either.

Computers and internet have become a necessity. Mine was leftover from when we actually had money, and again, internet is view as a necessity, especially with a lot of my schoolwork being internet based.

The point is to make Roblox enjoyable for everyone, not just people who can pay for it. Roblox has been my escape for years and I'm not just going to give it up because they've decided I shouldn't be able to play. By the way - if as many players who feel like I do just gave up and deleted their accounts, there'd be a huge decline in users. Not very good for Roblox.

if you aren't old enough to work, i doubt you have that much school work to do, and if you by chance do, you could always do it on the weekend. through late elementary and middle school i babysat to earn money to help my parents out and kept some for myself as well, but there's lots of other solutions for work if you aren't "old enough." some of my friends used watch pets, do yard work, wash cars etc when they were around 10

Somewhere between people who can afford BC/TBC/OBC and people who used to be able to, this disruption happens and it becomes a problem. People below that line get shut out from the community, with pretty much no way to make it out unless they somehow get insanely lucky on a game.
