Like if every clan attracted new people, and say the war clan genre as a whole, got 10% of the NEW people on this game interested, you know we'd have like 500 man invasions and stuff

it's a combination of game quality improving, player base growing up, lack of large scale innovation, clans trending towards smaller elite groups as opposed to larger more open groups etc
there's like 4 billion reasons why clan activity has been on a downward spiral over the last few years.

if FEAR was good, they'd easily have done a lot for the clan world and with it.

im going to go ahead and say bases now are easier than in the past because in the past many clans had group only weapons

People underestimate noobs.
Most of my HRs right now were recruited as noobs.
All it takes is a few minutes to train them how to do some basic gun-fighting combat.
Some of them have talent for such fighting, you just need to give them a proper environment to thrive in. |

I think the main problem with clans is that they have rules. Well made games don't need rules, if it's something you 'aren't allowed to do', you simply can't do it.
A lot of clans, especially smaller ones just don't have the scripting knowledge to be able to make a 'fort' like this, which is a shame. |
