This idea would apply mainly to smaller developers:
what if roblox made it so that they randomly chose 5 games with under, maybe 100000 visits, and played them all through, and choose 1 to be the "Random game of the Week" and put it on the front page.

Pros:
-Small developers could get a boost onto the front page for a week
-Roblox has full control over the "Random game of the Week"
-It probably wouldn't be something like "adopt and raise a kid" or "[random tv show] obby"
Cons:
-Roblox would have to choose the games
-they might get horrible games to start with
-if they are lazy it might be a bad game

Support as long as the place is "active" - as in - there's at least 25 or so daily unique players. You can't just RNG 5 places and expect all 5 to be actual games. |

But what you're describing is almost how getting your game on the "Featured" category works. Big or small developer, you can submit your game to ROBLOX and they would feature your game if it meets their editorial standards. |

This is essentially the role of the featured category. While yes, it has its faults, it works fairly well, I'd say.

Honestly this is actually a great idea. It would get more people to start making games, start to learn how to script and add a lot more (Even now much needed)variety to the game page.
But this is how I would describe the ROBLOX team:
