Soldat: Follow one training. If they do well, you promote them. If they do not, they remain a conscript. Knowing your faces is key!
Caporal: Must have followed at least 3 more trainings after having been promoted to soldat. Then, a captain or higher has to run them through a series of tests, determining their ability to lead a platoon in the line. If they do well, they may be promoted.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Non-Commissioned Officers and Junior Officers:
Sergeant: Must have followed at least 5 more trainings as either a caporal. On top of that, they have to show that they are capable of leading a platoon. If they are, they have to be promoted by a captain or higher.(Only 3 sergeants per regiment!)
Sous-Lieutenant: Must have been to a TOTAL of 10 trainings, and must have shown leadership and competence in both the field, and on other formal occasions. The Sous-Lieutenant and Lieutenant will be used as trainers, as well as soldiers that relay information from the colonel and to the line. So formal writing, neat writing and quick writing is key. The Sous-Lieutenant must be chosen by a captain or higher.
Lieutenant: Same as Sous-Lieutenant, but this time, a soldier must have GIVEN 10 trainings. The soldier must have shown a lot of competence and maturity, as a position as Lieutenant is the first step to becoming a field officer. A Lieutenant has to be chosen by a captain or higher. Lieutenants and Sous-Lieutenants can be chosen instantly if the army is in need of officers. Soldiers can also apply to be an officer, but they have to go through extensive training.

Colonel: A step higher than Lieutenant-Colonel. A colonel will be a regimental commander as well, but will also work together with the general in his staff on the field. A colonel must possess all of the traits that a Majeur and Lieutenant-Colonel have, and must be promoted to by the general, and the general alone.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Army Command:
Generale: A Generale must be the best of the best. He does not have to have musket skills, but he has to have a lot of knowledge about colonial warfare and the tactics that come with them. He must be able to plan ahead, be active and mature, disciplined and above all, confident. There will only be one Generale per army group! A Generale can only be picked by the Mareshal and his holiness the King himself.
