My thoughts on RNW and its (ex-)members and the recent events in which it has been a part of... with a little history

RNW's "legacy" and "image"
I've had RNW for a very long time, longer than anyone else. I've done very little with the clan for a very long time, but never have I ever given up on it. Throughout the time in which I've owned RNW, I've given 3 different people 4 chances in total to try and do something with it. I've refused to take a chance on RNW's future since the day I got it, and to give RNW to anyone else puts its fate in their hands.
Time passes and once again the RNW founder comes back asking for RNW. I refuse and he makes T-RNW without any consideration of the consequences (a post for another time). At the very beginning, against my better, judgement I gave him the benefit of the doubt and supported T-RNW. Time goes on, and I realize that I was right to doubt them, and my support slowly wanes over time.
Fast forward and the new RNW comes into my possession shortly after a change of ownership. Imagine that! /sarcasm
My original instinct is to shut down T-RNW and to just be done with the whole thing, but I give the hicom of T-RNW a chance at continuing the group in the real RNW. Things work out, and today RNW is alive and improving for the time being.
Of the original T-RNW high ranks that were around, only a fraction of them are still around in RNW in any meaningful way. Many quit RNW; most that quit RNW followed the founder and joined CAT; some decided not to be a part of the stupidity that would later ensue. Some are no longer high ranks because of incompetence or other underlying issues that don't involve personal decisions on their part. Many officers in RNW are just as meaningless as the people that left it for CAT.
Most of the original T-RNW high ranks were completely and totally brainwashed by the founders of T-RNW (evil WVfighter!!!). The ones that left RNW for CAT still for the most part are. Thankfully, some of the high ranks that stuck around after the group transition have realized it.
It hasn't reached great success yet, but it's doing well given the circumstances. The current (and small) hicom in RNW is carrying the group on their backs, and are far more dedicated to it than any of the founders ever were when they made T-RNW.
The evidence of that can be seen by the founders abandoning RNW for CAT (a post for another time). They leave, giving RNW to someone else and it finds itself in my hands. When I got the group, even after allowing everyone to continue in the real RNW, they left RNW and joined CAT. In RNW's greatest time of need, many who were brainwashed turned tail and ran. All of which are people who are able to be loyal when being loyal is easy. Accepting the truth can be hard.
Fast forward 2 terrible raids on CAT, and CAT declares war on RNW. They "give us 2 options," one of which being to memorialize. Say what you want about my behavior towards the leader of CAT, I don't care about his feelings. This took some gall, and strongarming RNW to do something you have no business in telling us to do (not knowing the situation to begin with) is impudent.
To do this spits in the face of every RNW member that WAS loyal to the founders, that CONTINUES to work harder than the founders ever did to make RNW something more than what it was. It's the most selfish thing I've ever seen them do- ever. If I wasn't the group owner of RNW, they'd have never done it; never mind who else it effects, they don't care.
To all RNW members:
I've always been blunt and truthful. Even after approving and going into the transition, I expected you to fail. I've never been more wrong about the dedication and stamina the TRULY loyal members of the RNW community. I'm glad the founders were able to gather you all together so that sniper and the current RNW hicom can lead you now- that is the one good thing that came from their irresponsible actions. Keep the recent improvements consistent. A VERY special thanks to the few meaningful hicom members that are literally carrying the clan on their backs and making RNW's future possible. To see that RNW has a chance to be something makes all the hate I've received for holding RNW all this time worth it.
To anyone who doesn't want RNW shutdown that left for whatever reason:
Please open your eyes and seek the truth for yourself. If you're in CAT, even the worst clan leaders are better than the ones you follow. You'll always be welcome back in RNW so long as you're not in CAT.
To anyone who abandoned RNW for CAT that wants RNW shutdown:
The founders talk a big talk about "RNW's legacy" and saving "the image of RNW" as if they have any right to talk about it to begin with. CAT uses this fallacy as a justification for demanding we be memorialized. RNW's legacy is not yours to own. It isn't yours to decide what it is. You should be ashamed to even assume that it is yours to take away from the people who are still loyal to RNW. RNW can have a future, and it isn't yours to take away. I've refused to give RNW to people with a much stronger spine than the leaders of CAT. |

I don't know anything about these two clans but this post is very interesting. Could someone explain what CAT is and what it's trying to do to RNW? I get the idea that they want RNW memorialized and that CAT is ran by the "founders" of rnw. Are these correct assumptions? |

They BOTH have power. Sniper makes the decisions, and is assisted by WV because he won't let anything dumb happen of course.
