Finally someone who agrees on high school's stupid system. I have 90% averages overall without art, religion, and gym. And because I go to a catholic high school to make my mom happy, I am forced to take all three of these classes, at least once. I also have to take religion every year. I am in my grade 9 year, and they are bringing my overall average down from a 90 to an 80, and I can't wait to get these classes over with, but I do believe that grade 9 and 10 don't matter, and 11 and 12 are the crucial years which will decide your future. I am also doing relatively week in geography, due to the fact that my instructor marked mapping on artistic abilities rather than knowledge, and I lack that ability entirely. Help with my situation?

### ## do you get a bad grade in gym? everywhere I've been it's been dressing out for grade in most and in advanced gym/athletics it's been making sure you tried and effort

I don't have a bad grade in gym, it's actually a 85%, I am a very athletic person who participates in multiple organized sports. I put that in there because there are people who aren't athletically gifted.

Also, certain people are afraid to try, because they don't want people judging them. It's sad, but the world is always judging.

how do you even get an 85 in gym... If you put in effort or just dress out you should get an A+

@Zach1102 I am maintaining a 4.0, but it will be much easier once my art is finished, because I have not been gifted with any talents related to drawing, and my school forces visual art, not with drama, dance, or graphic design as a substitute.

@Cyxe lots of schools pay attention to 10th and some 9th also, having lower scores to begin with requires a ton of work to pull up when you get to junior and senior year

I am aware @MatrixJunkie That being said, I never said I wasn't trying, I still am because I take my education very seriously, and am told I have knowledge beyond my years. But I still don't find 9 important. None the less, I am obviously trying my best to prepare for the future.
