Elitism is a concept that several clans promote, Elitism is the act of using elites (select individuals that are highly experienced) in order to try and win.
Elitism is mostly practiced by powerclans, but some superclans also practice it to an extent.
This begs the question, is Elitism harming clans?
Yes it is, Elitism ultimately is limiting the growth of the clan world, and is creating a more toxic community. This isn't appealing to the new/inexperienced individuals who enter the clan world, and what we should be focusing on is making a more appealing community for new users as it'll help grow the clan world instead of it devolving into a toxic environment where clans exclude every inexperienced person because all they want to do is win.
This elitism problem is killing the clan world, yet clan leaders are still promoting the idea. Clan leaders need to take an initiative to eliminate this problem or the clan world will continue to devolve.
--
Powerclans are the main clans that are promoting the idea of elitism, the obsession of winning and becoming the best is what is also driving superclans to implement elitism. For example, let's take a look at RAT. RAT's a large superclan, with many inexperienced/new members. RAT is currently competing at a powerclan level, you mostly see powerclans raiding RAT. Since RAT is competing at such a level, they start to promote Elitism, most of the time their defending team is consisted of FoL. In addition, RAT often dismisses regular RAT members from raids (you never see an FoL member getting dismissed). A superclan as large as RAT shouldn't be promoting Elitism, any superclan shouldn't be promoting elitism period. If you get dismissed every defense, every raid, how are you going to get better? How are you going to become more experienced? Elitism is limiting the growth of these new users, not only that, new users don't even get involved in important events such as raids/defenses/wars. Powerclans don't bring new people into the community, most powerclans die off and recycle (Paul's clans).
This mentality of winning is driving clans to promote elitism, all clans want to do nowadays is win no matter what, no matter if people get excluded from a war, all that matters is winning the war. I'm not saying there's nothing wrong with winning, but clans shouldn't go to such an extent to win, the extent where new users are excluded from the war. It should all be about having fun for every single individual, not all about winning.
Clan leaders need to take an initiative, and try to eliminate this problem. If clans like RAT or VAK take an initiative to fix this problem, it'll set an example for other clans.
Here are some solutions created by the clan philosopher Nederlandz: https://forum.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=206548335
Those are just words on a page by Nederlandz, which clan is going to take his solutions and turn them into reality?
So I ask you clan leaders out there, are you going to let the clan community devolve into a toxic community that is unfriendly to new users? Or are you going to take the initiative and help the clan community grow?

Agreed, however, that solutions page is Nite's.
I do not endorse the solutions of Nite's. He believes that the step in the right direction is to have separate bases, one more enjoyable and one less enjoyable. However, while this sounds good on paper, clans will simply be ridiculed and flamed for raiding the more enjoyable bases.
Its more important that the power clan era slows down and clans begin to recruit again (VIP recruit is the most effective method). That would be the best thing for the clan world; changing bases would come after. |

Yea, in this thread I said that powerclans are driving superclans to promote the idea of elitism |

Idk why I said Nederlandz lol, I guess I mixed you two up lol |

Here is a very large thread on clan theory if you haven't read it *Shamelessly plugs myself*: https://forum.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=194275981 |

And yea I agree, the powerclans should slow down or they should even turn into superclans to recruit new users into the community |

also RAT was using a ghost which healed RAT at their spawn ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - cP |

Elitism is dumb, VAK likes it alike, I doubt VAK would change but I fully support this thread |

train your members to be good enough to raid/defend thats the solution
no one is going to give up winning just to try to make their clan look fun for everyone
