People who hate roleplaying shouldn't be here. And 98% of the people here are ####### so for that 98%, why are you here?

Generally I only watch roleplaying and don't participate that much, but you'd be surprised at how fun the art of improvisation can be. I mean, just look at Dungeons & Dragons. I didn't think much of it, but after watching some videos I feel like it would be a shame if I didn't try it out at least once in my lifetime. If you're talking about this subforum, then you've got a point.

i'm here to pour more salt by telling you that the example you gave isn't even remotely close to the *legitimate* roleplaying that occurs between the more 'accredited' role-players

>"legitimate" roleplaying roleplaying is roleplaying, bro good or bad, up to your standards or not serious or silly, it's all still roleplaying the only exception might be mockery of roleplayers, and even then, they're obviously trolls and thus not worth acknowledging at all "legitimate" my ass. don't be such a prick. *disclaimer I only half read the thread, and am mostly just here to yell at people for being a nuisance. This is not pointed at crow's post specifically, but really more to anyone who thinks that the only "real" roleplaying is the elitist crap they do, because that mindset is really close-minded and unforgiving. Thank you for your time.

@purring by 'legitimate' roleplaying, i meant the stuff that's not solely based in asterisks, apologies if my elitism offended you I put asterisks around legitimate to specify what is commonly considered role-playing in this forum: there are various types of role-playing, but forum role-playing usually only occurs in one form, which is that of typing out paragraphs in a novel-style way. There are plenty of people that I know who don't follow this form of role-playing, which I consider completely fine, but it's just that he gave an example--also a troll example--of what he mocked role-playing to be. Mockery often resembles what someone truly believes, but to a different extent. Considering that he's not a role-player, I assumed that he didn't know the different between game role-playing and forum r--- what the heck am i doing this isn't an essay you get the idea
