yes there are no problems
|
|
|
I mean if youre just gaming and not doing anything crazy an i7 is overkill imo
A 1060 is fine for 1080p but going up to a 1070 and getting an i5 can't hurt unless you're doing video editing or something
You are should be good apart from that, double check to. Make sure your psu isn't a piece of junk that will ackbar your computer

make sure you have thermal paste
if you intend on using a window on the case, get black zipties to make sure wires are secured neatly
make sure both storages you're getting come with a SATA cable, and if they dont you gotta make sure you have one for each, unless your case come with them, check to see what wires your case comes with (should be most wires)
you understand there is no opportunity on that case for a CD drive
when you're building it make sure to press down hard on the cpu when you put it in its a scary experience if you havent done it before

rather expensive for a 1060 imo |
|
|
well it depends if you want to wait or not
the ryzen processors are bound to be good but its not like intel is a bad choice (in most cases intel >>> amd)
you'd probably be waiting longer than you expect, or paying more than its cost
see: any release of a major pc component
for example when amd released the RX series (rx 460, 470, 480)
they advertise the msrp of $200 for the 480, but it didnt drop below 240 for months

ah
ill most likely stick to the intel then
|
|
|
but yeah like he said also
a single 1080p monitor wont be getting the full use of this computer's power on games
if you have the room for it (and the money...) look to getting a single 1440p monitor instead, or even better if you have room for it (and the money...) into getting two monitors instead
just make sure that whatever you do, that the inputs into the monitor match what your gpu has
some monitors take HDMI, some take VGA, some take both along with other inputs i cant think off of the top of my head

UncleAliJoin Date: 2010-06-10 Post Count: 3447 |

iReIixJoin Date: 2010-08-31 Post Count: 5175 |
get an i5 6400
|
|
|
1060 benchmarks better than rx 480
the only real benefit you're getting from rx 480 is its slightly newer and is optimized for dx12
go find me games that benchmark higher than a 1060 that isnt doom |
|
AmpteJoin Date: 2016-10-24 Post Count: 643 |
ur paying 100's more for a minor fps increase
good deals on 480's slap the junk that is the 1060 in ppp |
|
|
1060's go for the same price 480's do |
|
GraffybooJoin Date: 2015-04-23 Post Count: 5424 |
price efficiency doesnt bother me rn because i have nothing else i want to spend some of my money on atm

Depends on your needs. If all you do is play games you dont need a i7. Even if you stream and record games like I do my i5 6600k handles it just fine
I have a i5 6600k @ 4.6 GHZ GTX 1070 and 8 gigs of DDR4.
I wouldnt go with the new kabylake of whatever new processor Intel is releasing because the price of the mobos will be expensive for a while |
