SECTION 1: Introduction
The following document is for research personnel to discover how to properly conduct their tests, gather their resources and move forward with their plans.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
SECTION 2: Recommendations
- A ratio of 1 security guard for every 2 D Class be met (1:2 SD:CD)
- Guide has been read and thoroughly understand, as well as all side documents
- Competent security be attending to guarding the experiment area
- An Ethics Committee member and/or HMCL supervisor be present for assessment
- Check in with a Scientific high rank if oneself has sufficient permissions
-- Note that only Junior Research personnel may host tests
- Ask for RRH or ISD if an O5 spectates
-- Advise that the O5 does not enter the room unless authorized
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
SECTION 3: First things first - Clearance and Logging!
Clearance is everything in the Foundation. That is all that must be said.
With this in mind, there is a clearance document available to research personnel outlining what they are permitted to test. Keep in mind that some tests require formal permission prior to the test. For RO-SCP genre purposes, this seems like an unnecessary process, however from the day we were created we vowed to be a realistic Foundation that would incorporate lore and fun into our work, and that we would not be a generic SCP Foundation like every other one currently out there; that we seek the highest quality of those we can praise over a quantity of people we cannot be proud of due to their mistakes or insolence.
Said document is available at the following link:

In addition to clearance, records also means quite a significant amount to the Foundation. After every test, a log must be written to be submitted to RAISA or high command for viewing. The log format is available here:

SECTION 4: Hosting the Test & Scenarios
[1]
Once it has been ensured that a test is ready to begin, one must request for security and D Class personnel. Ensure that they are in order. For picking out D Class personnel, ensure that they:
- Are actually competent enough to understand the words spoken from personnel
- Are responsible (irresponsible D Class leads to severe problems)
- D Class do not possess firearms (problem inducing)
[2]
Once all personnel are compiled as well as spectators and/or partners are gathered (if applicable), security is to offer a debrief to the D Class personnel, so be patient for that to finish. Security have the debrief available in their guidelines, so do not assign them content for the debrief; it is unright for research personnel to make security deviate from items part of their Guidelines.
[3]
Once the debrief finishes, the security personnel will back off and resume guarding the area and securing the D Class personnel. At this point, research personnel should begin giving orders. The first order should be to move to the desired location and have them lined up by the door to await further instructions.
[4]
Conduct the test as per plan. If the test is halted by a higher rank, have security work to extract the D Class and if necessary, re-secure the object. Meet with the person who halted the test for a thorough explanation. If the reason was unjust, remember to report it to an Internal Affairs member.
[5.0]
Once the test concludes, wrap everything up. Clean up the workstation, extract remaining D Class personnel and have security return them to their cells. Once everything is clean and such, begin writing a test log.
[5.1]
In the event of a containment breach prior to the test, follow through regular procedure; have security attempt to be the first ones in the recontainment effort. If recontainment fails after a period of time, have D Class personnel terminated and retreat to the nearest breach shelter. At this point, the test will be deemed aborted, and a new test must be fabricated from scratch.
[5.2]
In the event of a containment breach during the test, have security personnel extract D Class personnel and attempt to recontain the object.
[5.2.1]
If the recontainment effort is successful, abort the test, and have D Class personnel returned to their cells. Have security personnel or a member of the Mobile Task Forces confirm that the object is back in proper containment and does not require any further adjustments.
[5.2.2]
If the recontainment effort is unsuccessful, have D Class personnel terminated, and follow through with normal containment breach protocol (D Class termination, breach shelter). At this point, the test will be deemed aborted. A test log must be written, with an indication somewhere that the test was unsuccessful and that the object seems to breach containment with the invocation of a certain event.
[5.3]
In the event of a containment breach after the test, have security personnel attempt to recontain the object. If there are any D Class personnel, extract them and have them be watched by another security officer who will serve as an auxiliary should the initial recontainment team be unsuccessful or require assistance.
[5.3.1]
If the recontainment effort is successful, have D Class personnel returned to their cells by security, and begin writing a report.
[5.3.2]
If the recontainment effort is unsuccessful, have D Class personnel terminated, and follow through with normal containment breach protocol (D Class termination, breach shelter). At this point, the test will be deemed aborted. A test log must be written, with an indication somewhere that the test was unsuccessful and that the object seems to breach containment with the invocation of a certain event.

SECTION 5: Now go test!
That is all there is to this guide document. Scientific is known to have an arsenal of documents and regulations, however it is all necessary to ensure the Foundation's operations remain unhindered, and for RO-SCP genre purposes, fun, enjoyable, coordinated and the pathway into a world of mystery.
Good luck on the field. Aspiring researchers, experienced researchers, everyone.
