Hello and welcome to The Vividarian Order’s monthly development newsletter. In this newsletter we’ll be discussing what we’re currently working on behind closed doors that should release in the near future. These newsletters will mostly include sneak peeks at our up and coming technology, however it will also include in-depth analysis and details that you as the reader might find interesting. Let’s begin with the first thing on the list, our multiple raid system. Essentially this multiple raid system will allow the raiders to select which one of our three different raid systems they’d like to use during said raid. In future development letters more will be released on how this will be done as well as what the three different raid systems will include. At this point in time we cannot release any further information regarding it, however all three raid systems will take place at the same fort. Now we should go into detail about something that may not sound as original, but when everything is put together, will make for a very interesting and fun aspect when patrolling our up and coming fort, this is the role-playing function. In particular, this addition will feature jobs, quests, a currency system and an in-depth life and reputation system wherein NPCs who are generally important/or are quest givers will have their own personal opinions on you and your reputation based on details like race, character and the actions you take. The quantity and quality of quests and prizes given by these specific NPCs will vary based on your reputation with them singularly. There of course will be shops to buy a varying amount of items and you can even own a business yourself, within the fort. Now you may be asking at this point, why have this as a part of your fort, wouldn’t it affect gameplay and even cause lag? To answer your question temporarily, the raid system and the role-playing system are two separate aspects entirely and even the leveling is completely separate, neither system will be working while the other is active. In the future we’ll be going more in-depth on how these work specifically. Something that you can consider similar or tied into the role-play aspect, but will have a function in the raid system at a later date is the release of planets and moons. Every race within The Vividarian Order will have it’s own fully functioning planet, essentially a “mini-fort”, all of which you will need to take before reaching the capitol planet. This will be fully discussed in future development newsletters. But for now, know that it will be an active and prevalent force in the lore and actual raid system in our new base. We should move onto something that has truly us excited about our in-dev tech. We’ve been working on an advanced weapon and armor system. Weapons and armor both will be something everyone will have access to, dependent on level of course, however we will make sure to balance everything properly to ensure nothing is “Overpowered”. Now, as stated previously, the raid system and role-play system are separate and do not work in conjunction, so the levels and money required to get weapons and armor will vary between the two, levels will not save when in an active raid to prevent us as the defenders from gaining an advantage simply because of how much time we spend in the fort and patrol. However, in the role-play system, outside of raids; levels, weapons, and armor will all save. To even further this, every weapon will have attachments and modifications to ensure your personal enjoyment. We’ll even have utilities such as grappling hooks and gravity boots. Take that as you will and take a wild guess as to where our new fort will be taking place. Our combat system will be a mix of Titanfall 2 and Mass Effect’s combat system. Our system will include more in-depth melee combat, such as assassinations. The new combat system will also include original strategic details like grappling onto and players, wall-running, the use of cover, combat rolling, sliding, and the use of the environment such as explosive barrels and breaching of walls. Something that works alongside this technological expansion, is added divisions, these divisions will have functions within the raid system as well as the role-playing system to make them a completely functioning part of the Order. While these are being worked on, it’s best we discuss them in the future. Next to the release of all this new tech, will be the release of our website. The website will link your account and character to a database that allows you to display role-play parts of your experiences in the fort. This will include your statistics, achievements, divisions, our personal forum and contests that only linked accounts may participate in. Last but not least, we’ve made a new morph that will actually look and work like a humanoid entity. This morph will have fully functioning joints, with amazing animations to make them look and work smoothly and efficiently. These humanoid morphs are simply an option to use in active raids, but are more or less a set standard within the role-play servers. You will not be limited to just R6 and the Humanoid morph, we’ll be allowing clans to choose between three options; R6, R15 and the Humanoid morph. We will be listening to our community on their input, if it’s something that people just simply don’t like we’ll work around the issue and change things to make sure the humanoid morph, as well as the system of selection is not gone to waste. /87e900d2d58b175be745121be664d77f /39fb2386a3ec16852564ca28e87f8ff4 /bd96b612c1c98f4ebff0e3e941b027e0 In conclusion, please note that this isn’t everything that we have coming off the pipeline, it is in fact a very minuscule portion of what we’ll have to offer in the future.
