I. Requirements
To be apart of SOCOM, there are multiple things that are required you have to start.
Each member in SOCOM MUST have:
Skype (Unit chats, quick communication)
Discord (For trainings/operations)
You do not need to speak in either of these if you would not like to, just listen.
II. SOCOM Organization
SOCOM is the United States Military’s Special Operation Command. Under SOCOM, there are there are five Special Operation Commands (SOC’s). These Commands consist of: Army Special Operations Command (ASOC), Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC), Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC), Airforce Special Operations Command (AFSOC), and Joint-Special Operations Command (JSOC).
Under these SOC’s, there are multiple Special Operation Units (SOU’s).
ASOC:
75th Ranger Regiment (75th R/R)
Army Special Forces (A############OAR
NSWC:
SEALs
Special warfare combatant-craft crewmen (SWCC)
MARSOC:
Marine Raiders
Intelligence Battalion
Support Group
AFSOC:
4th SOS, 1st SOW
23rd STS, 24th SOW
16th SOS, 27th SOW
20th SOS, 27th SOW
24th STS, 24th SOW
JSOC consists of Units and Sub-Units such as: 1st Special Forces Operations Detachment-Delta, ST6/DEVGRU, 24th STS. Certain Battalions from the 75th Ranger Regiment and 160th SOAR are apart of JSOC when deployed into a Task Force.
The SOCOM Chain of Command is as follows:
Joint Chiefs
SOCOM CO/XO/SEA
SOC CO/XO
SOU CO/XO
SOCOM Unit Members
SOCOM Members should not come to the SOCOM CO/XO unless they have an urgent problem. First, talk to your SOU Staff. SOU Staff would then communicate the issue to the SOC CO/XO if need be. If the problem cannot be resolved by the SOC CO/XO, they would come to the SOCOM CO/XO.
III. Standard Guidelines
When you are in Uniform, you are On-Duty.
When On-Duty, you must be mature at all times. If you act immature, punishment will follow.
While On-Duty, excessive racism, discrimination, or prejudice in official, public Skype chats, training bases, or warzones will lead to punishment.
Immaturity while On-Duty will lead to a suspension if continuous.
You must be respectful to all of your superiors and those from other branches. (If an Officer is of higher rank, you should be calling him “Sir”).
While On-Duty, you must have reasonable grammar. (No “kk humie, shure thang1!11!”)
Do not talk back to SOCOM Staff.
Asking for a job or a position will keep you away from that position.
All SOCOM members must be and remain humble. If you have a big ego and display it while On-Duty at an inappropriate time, punishment will follow.
If you are suspended, you may not attend trainings or Operations unless granted by the SOCOM XO or CO.
If you are attempting to switch to a different SOC, you MUST talk to either the SOCOM XO or the SOCOM CO. If you do not, you will be given two week suspension. You’ll also be demoted to the paygrade of E1.
If you earn a position that requires you to be an Officer, you must take OCS.
You earn promotions in the main branches, not through SOCOM.
If an Enlisted member in SOCOM receives a promotion, his/her SOU/SOC CO/XO must send a PM to their branches SEA.
If an Officer receives a position higher than his/her current paygrade, his/her superior must send a PM to their branches JCS/VJCS.
SOCOM is a family. Do not disrespect each other, protect each other.
IV. SOCOM Uniform Regulations
You can wear M81's, DBU's, Multi-Cam's, MARPAT, and any other OFFICIAL US Military Approved Uniform Ranging from the 1980s-Today, but MUST be approved by SOCOM Staff.
Any NON-OFFICIAL uniform (such as Hello Kitty, or Illiuminati Combats/Noncombats) are not allowed and will result in removal from your position and a demotion.
T-Shirts other than rank tabs may not be worn on ANY type of Uniform unless approved by SOCOM Staff.
Shades may only be worn by Officers when not On-Deployment.
Bandana and masks may only be worn on deployment.
Only suitable hats may be worn when On-Duty (no crazy hats or hair)
Combats are only to be worn on deployment or when instructed by a Staff Member
Combat Shirts are to be worn during trainings
ACUs are to be worn when visiting a fort. If you do not own ACUs, combat shirts are allowed
Formals are to be worn for ceremonial purposes only
V. Recruitment
When holding either RASP, Selections, BUD/s, or Screenings, staff members should shout on both the main branch and their own SOU.
People should be given at least a 20 minute notice until the Selection is held. Shouts should go out at least 20 minutes early and include the start time.
Officers and the Unit's Sergeant Major should be the only ones holding Selections. SOU CO’s may allow a more specific group to host.
E1's may not attend Selections.
If staff members are "scouting“ on base, you must ask the Officer in charge if you may speak to a possible candidate for your SOU. ONLY STAFF may scout.
(For Army) A member of a Division would have to speak to the ASOC staff about recruitment, the Staff would not talk to that member.
Cross-branch recruitment is NOT allowed.
If an E1 is spotted in your SOU, he will be removed. If a member in your SOU is not in the main branch, he will be removed.
The veteran rule is only in effect if that veteran is in or had proof of being in USM's veteran group. No acceptions, no accepting friends because of this rule. If an E1 is seen in SOCOM and not in the veterans group, that person will be removed.
If someone is wanting to join an SOU, tell them to send a join request to that SOU so they get updated on when a tryout will be held.
VI. Deployment
When you are at a USM Warzone or at a Hostile Warzone, you are on deployment.
SOCOM Units may only deploy to a USM Warzone if necessary or given the OK by the SOU Sergeant Major and above.
In a USM Warzone, only those in charge of the patrol may talk to Hostiles.
SOCOM follows the Rules of Engagement.
If talking in-game while on deployment, SOCOM must use teamchat.
If a member of SOCOM is not in time for the briefing, he/she may not deploy unless allowed by the SOCOM CO/XO. |
